hey Zinx was too good. rest of them werent that good when compared to
semifinals 1 & 2. Zinx were good primarily bcuz of their instrumental
version of kannodu kanbathellam from Jeans. it was really a great
performance. nice singing by the female lead.

finals is gonna b really tough. cant wait to c it as it would have ARR as
judge. wow!

Dreams (he played live when the show was staged) and requested ARR to let him 
include this track in the classical album he was planning.

The CD listed 'Rahman' along with Vivaldi.. I searched further

to confirm if it is ARRahman or some other Rahman and came out to be

as our ARR.

sunday Band-Zinx entered as one of 3 finalists. I just wanted to share this 
band Zinx who also performed well in last episode of quarter finals has a good 
rapper. As credited by singer Vasundra das this is the youngest of all bands 
with school students. They are from famous psbbss school (padma seshadri bala 
bhavan) in which school ARR is an alumnus.

Hi Nishant

5.1 MP3 (MP3 surround) sounds terrible than the normal stereo MP3 if you
listen it in stereo sound system. you can only feel the difference of the
MP3 surround if you listen to it in any 5.1 system with the proper output
(speakers) itself.

It is not a compressed format, those MP3 surround (5.1 MP3) actually squeeze
out the extra channels from the normal MP3 (stereo), obviously it will
sounds terrible if you listen to it in the normal stereo sound system or
headphones (because there is only 2 channel outputs). You will sense that
the normal audio CD / stereo MP3 sounds better, because all of the frequency
of sound are encoded in those 2 channels only. Meanwhile 5.1 MP3 have
splitted those 2 channels to 6 channels (front R & L, Rear R & L, Center and
LFE - Subwoofer), so, you cant listen to the sounds which redirected to the
other extra channel, by listening to the track in a stereo system, it only
can be listened in at least 5.1 system to get the full satisfaction.

at the same time, 5.1 MP3 requires a specific player or codec to play the
track with the full effects. normal players can play it (since it is a type
of MP3) but it is unable to give you the real feel of the sound itself.

[arr] Hope ARR's stance on Om Shanti Om pays off

This issue has already been discussed when the news came out.  Hope his 
stance leads to better rights for composers, who deserve better 
compensation IMO.  Would like to see ARR do more commercial films with 
big star casts and known directors to help his overall popularity.  
Since Guru of last year, it's all been VS, SEL, and Pritam up North. 
Well, at least he scored big with Shivaji down South.

Hmm.. ya.. Athiradi is really a best rocking song by rahman in 
recent years. But when Sivaji music released, lots of fans 
complained that songs have lots of cavity in it especially Style and 
Athiradi. Me too agree that, Rahman could have added more 
improvisation to the instrumentation, but he left them as it is 
becoz he wanted the album to be for Mass audience. I heard that 
Rahman is revising the songs for Hindi, So I'm sure that 'Sivaji' 
Hindi will be much better Let's wait N see.. :)

[arr] Query Regarding 5.1 rahman songs

Hey Group mates,
   I have a query regarding 5.1 surround mp3 songs 
available in net from rahman's movies. I hope some of you guys might have come 
across those in arahman forum. can someone pls tell in wht respeect exactly is 
it different from the original arr soundtrack available in normal audio cd. 
Pls note that these 5.1 surround mp3 are not from the dts cds which were 
originally made by arr himself. 
If anyone of you have experienced these differences, pls share it.. :-)
