Guru Music is great despite it is a period film. But our BOSS has given more

Re: [arr] Indiatimes Reviews Mangal Pandey the movie

2005-08-12 Thread sendil sadasivam
Hai

I do not agree with IndiaTimes comment on ARR's music.
When i watched the movie BOSE-Forgotten Hero, the
background music of our BOSS is so amazing but the
cinematography is so poor doesn't give good justice
for the great music.

I believe the same happens here for our BOSS bgm in
Mangal Pandey.
Anyway i am planning to watch the movie on Aug 15th.

Re: [arr] Re: Is Rahman repeating himself

2005-08-11 Thread sendil sadasivam
Hai all,

Rahman repeating himself statement is not at all true.
Everytime he brings the new tunes and orchestration.

Regarding the song anbe aaruyire had a lot of rythms
and heavy sound the lyrics are very much clear.

Since Rahman uses a lot of layers of music in one song
at times what happens is that people will eventually
hear only the sound. If u keep on hearing the song at
one time you happenend to hear the singer's voice as
seperate layer. Then you clearly listen the lyrics.

Also Shankar mentioned this statement at the music
launch of a aah music.
He quoted "Rahman's music is like a cake, which has a
lot of layers like cream,nuts,fruits,butter,bread,jam
etc. Similarly rahman's music has a lot of layers of
music is attached under one song."

These kind of music can be done only by two people.
One is God and other one is our Boss .

Hi Karthik and SyedM,

Rahman was intended to say that his work would be
nothing for this film if there were no songs in the
film.

don't take it in either way...

I hope this was his intention.

Think twice before you comment.

with regards

Re: [arr] The Rising built with exceptional Tala and ragas.

2005-07-15 Thread sendil sadasivam
hai Keshav,

excellent review. Congratulations and thanks for
providing such a wonderful review.

This is evidence of true review.
There will be mixed reactions for Rising. But i
believe that i will end up atleast a big hit.

Rahman's beauty is adding lot of loops and variations
in the songs.I believe Rising songs a lot of
variations which i never ever noticed in his earlier
songs.

There is seamless integration of different variations
of tunes in the Ma vari vari song.It amazes how this
variation happening in the song without anyone can
ever notice that.
Next time keep listen carefully you find the
variations clearly.

Hai Ajit,

I am also completely agree your comment.
Especially Desh Ki Mitti one of the best compositions
i have ever heard in my life.
I believe Genius are born they are not made.
I don't think ARR will change his attitude of doing
these kind of films. Infact he will love to do these
kind of films rather doing masala films like Aa Aah.

I very much appreciate that our BOSS has the guts to
do these kind of films like Rising,Water,Akbar-Jodha
etc.

I am so angry when some directors use our BOSS work as
a compensation for their mistakes in the film.

Re: we need some dance numbers Re: [arr] Re: Shall I Compare Thee???????????

2005-05-25 Thread sendil sadasivam
Hai

I believe from ARR everyone requires more of foot
tapping songs and not some soulful melodies. So the
media and some ARR fans believe that his music
is not so good as it was before.

MD like ARR could only bring soul to the most of the
movies which he have did.
I can name some of the bollywood big directors
eventually want ARR to music their movies.
1.Mira Nair
Quotes --- ARR's music is like a painting in the
movie 1947 earth.
2.Subash Ghai
3.Shekar Kapur
4.Ashutosh Gowarikar
Quotes-- His songs are so correct to the situation and
if u take it alone and hear the song then it is
universal.
5.Rajkumar Santhosi
6.Ketan Mehta

The above list only shows how good he is now and i
believe he is going to rule the indian and as well as
the world music.

Hai

I would like to say one point out here is that the
films like swades, yuva or aiyutha eluthu, parthale
paravasan are flops are simply because of the
directors failure to make a very convincing
screenplay.Not because of ARRahman.

ARRahman always done his best in all of his films and
film makers wanted to hide behind the ARR's music and
doing some ordinary movies and expect them to click
with purely depending on music.

ARRahman create magic only at the music not at the box
office.

[arr] music review on Bose-Forgotten Hero

2005-05-09 Thread sendil sadasivam
Hai all,

First time i am sending mails.
I am die hard fan of arrahman ji.I have seen him at
Roja's 175 days celebration function. Not much of craze
at that time. But now he is an international star.

Bose music simply superb.Lots of variation in
composition and string orchestration.I have enjoyed a
lot Kadam Kadam and Hum delhi was inspiring freedom
spirit among the youth of india.Once again great with
the melody of song Apani desh ki mitti ki khushubu
yaad aati hai.

The themes of durga pooja,Hitler theme,Afghanistan
theme are all exceptionally great rendering for the
music lovers.

with regards
S.Sendil
