RE: [arr] Re: One album that is completely perfect!
Well The Q was... "Recent, EPIC yet modern"That narrows down the search.. Unless we are looking at the entire discography!!In that context (EPIC yet modern and filmed perfect) maybe and I reiterate MAYBE JA :) -Cheers,Jesheem To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com From: vsra...@gmail.com Date: Sat, 6 Feb 2010 16:23:11 +0530 Subject: Re: [arr] Re: One album that is completely perfect! Fans like some particular album or song and feel like mentioning every where that they can, but we should understand when we talk of album as a single entity, it is not just the musical greatness of an individual or all songs in it, but much more than that is needed that gives the entire album an identity of its own. Yes, it has to be Dehli 6. Which has the widest variety of songs of different opposite genres, that is what defines an album as perfect. Someone mentioned skipping Kala Bandar, I respect his personal liking for softer songs, but if you think of all song of the album, it is this very Kala Bandar song which was tailor made for the theme, script, story of the film. The film's essence hinged on this song, it ran two three times I think in the film, It had a drastic change of mood right in the middle, it explains the message of the film, so this song would still be considered musically great and would add to the repute of the album. > > Well..it has to be DELHI 6... > And my favourite ARR song since the LAST 5 years is: REHNUMA from BLUE!! -- Rawat _ Your E-mail and More On-the-Go. I agree..Delhi 6 is one perfect album...also Swades...? Nope...For me it was JA...But good to know that you felt similarly with Delhi 6! I was more convinced with Jodhaa Akbar than Delhi 6...Delhi 6 is a close call, however, I felt some of the songs were not picturised properly...JA music was more powerful in terms of delivering the essence to the viewer when you watch the songs in the big screen...Picturization was way too brilliant...After JA, nothing has been so perfect till now as a whole...Remember, I'm not just talking about music to ears alone, but as a treat to the eyes as well...
