That's why I simply try suspending JAWS for games written in BGT. For most games that don't try to detect my assistive technology and are either self voiced or use SAPI, it works with no problem. But even when suspended this game detects JAWS and assumes it should use it.

Will add Sapi in a future update. Though the game should work ok with Jaws enabled. That is all theoretical though as I don't use Jaws. The game tries to bipass jaw's keyhook stuff, but not sure how well that works.

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up this game to always use SAPI? I'd prefer to put JAWS into suspend mode rather than exiting it entirely, but even in suspend mode the game detects JAWS and assumes that it should use its voice.This game is a perfect example of why allowing software or web sites to detect if you are running any kind of assistive technology isn't a very good idea.

The result is that I'm disappointed because I can't even say it's a false positive!Threat secured We've safely aborted connection on lworlmeu.s3.amazona\|\fs.com because it was infected with Win32:MaIware-gen. More threats may be lurking!This is really annoying because I am certain that this is not a virus at all. But this is what has been happening, apparently, with bgt games lately and now it's finally happened to me.

Hello,I do not know if there is anything you can do about this, as it may be a problem on my end.l But my firefox just acted very strange when I clicked to download the blinded guide setup file. The open dialogue popped up, and then, I got an erroer about temp not being able to be laoded because the source file can't be read, so my first thought is, my inaccessible antivirus may have just intercepted the actual download. If this the case I'm now really annoed because there will be not much that any of us can do.

For those who remember the old sega genesis, the gameplay reminds me of a game called space harrier.In that game you're also constantly moving forward, blasting things out of your way.Oh and in space harrier you could also fly.It was one of those games that was ahead of its time.With this one, obviously, bob can't fly.I must admit, it is a rather addictive little game to kill time.If apple weren't so uptight with their restrictions, I could easily see myself playing this on my phone.

Yep. The plan is that we'll have multiple languages built in to the game. Right now there's Spanish, Polish, Afrikaans, Serbian, Turkish. Update is going to take a bit though. I have a convention coming up, so am going to be extremely busy for the next week.

So my plan is to expand out the game with some items, and other goodies. I also want to do a plus version with mode modes and achievements and other fun stuff. The first project though is getting the game translated in to some other languages so it can be played internationally. After that, then I'll figured out what comes next.

While this game is fun for a while, it gets rather boring after a while. It is still an interesting concept, though. But what I think it lacks primarily are items. For example, all you're doing right now is stepping left or right. But think about it: Items for temporary invincibility, a cane item that will vault you over a particularly tough section or another cane that batters objects aside, because face it, who doesn't use their cane for a bit of abuse from time to time? I think other obstacles could be nice too, such as maybe scooters and other toys left on the sidewalk by kids that will trip you, so it'll make you walk for ward for about ten steps without being able to turn which could make it far, far more challenging.

Ah, I just tried the game and lots of fun, I particularly like the death sounds and sarcy quotes. I was also rather pleased that my first go I got to level eight with a score of 1053 out of a possible 1110, though I actually admit at the end I just got blind bob killed to see what happen if he got squished by a car. Lots of fun and a nice stress stress reliever, thanks again Liam.

Hi.Two things.first, is that Oliver dog based on a dog in your naiborhood or was that just a random idea from you?We actually had a dog like that around for some years, strangely though while I could savely aproach and pet and play with him, he always barked at others.secondly, I think we need a higher difficulty, the running speed on hard is still to slow for my taste in the first levels you know?Greetings Moritz.

I love the death sounds rofl, nice job Liam, you never fail in the humor department.My favorite is the fire hydrant, obviously, and the jack hammer, though the tree is pretty good too, just because of how absurd it is.I wish the pole had a more clonk type of sound, more hollo, it would make it funnier.It would be nice if in hard difficulty especially, it wasn't possible to just stay on 9x and avoid pretty much everything, either the trees could sometimes extend more, or maybe the trash can's and such could more often end up at 9, as right now the only real dangers are construction sites.Nice little game, don't know if it has much replay value for me personally, but the randomization is cool and obviously the deaths are amazing.Wish it could be modded though... But I understand the wish to protect your sounds and voice, and the difficulty vs reward for coding a encryption friendly modding framework for such a small project.
 If it ever becomes an option though, I'd think about taking your cues from Oriol's games, his system seems to work pretty well.Oh and, thanks for putting your update notification in the first post, I hate it when devs don't do that and expect people to search through the hole thing, not that this topic is big yet but... Either way.

Yeah, it does that if you don't move to the side at all in a level. Not sure why. LolAlso I was really bored and decided to see if the level ended after so many steps or if it was distance-based. Turns out that thankfully it is the latter; you can't move side to side to bypass dealing with obstacles and complete the level without traveling the required forward distance.

I really do enjoy this game a lot! A nice touch is that the level seems to be generated before the level actually starts, which means that if you die, you get to retry the same level again and get past that difficult spot. I'm still pretty scared of the bikes, I normally just try to stay on the grass when one is close to me, but I'm not sure if that's the best strategy. It seems to work so long as I pick the safest side, similar to what I do with the construction work. Is that the best strategy for bikes or do you have other ideas?Here is a recording of me playing the game. This is an anyaudio link, so if you're into that sort of thing, do like/comment if you want, I like to know what people think of my stuff. In this recording I played the game on easy difficulty. I made it to level 14! I will try to do recordings of higher difficulties later. Suffice it to say that Bob was breaking sprinting rec
 ords! So that must mean I made a good bit of progress in getting him through his crazy neighborhood. I swear the people in this neighborhood all have some sort of prejudice toward blind people. I like it! So far I came to I think it was level 3 or 4, where there was a tree and a sewer next to it. The first time, I've tried to avoid an Oliver from tearing me apart, and then I've bumped into a tree. The second time, I've tried to avoid tree instead, but then I fell down into the sewer. I'll keep playing it.

Hi.Well, I am sticking to the hard difficultz, the others are to slow for my taste. I have tryed the game for some time now and like it up to a point, but there are certain things that could need improovement, for example at leased for me, the path always seams generic, always with two poles in the beginning, and basically the same, you can easily avoid them by walking on the grassy arria, sure, you need to deviate from the path some times, but still, it's sort of monotone because avoiding objects doesn't give any points, so you can just walk by them.A system where the path is dynamicly generated, a system where when you pass an object really close, you get more points for example would make the game interesteing.Curretnly, it doesnt keep me hooked.Greetings Moritz.

well when I read it there were 7 retweats and this was this morning 30 minutes out and there are only 2 spots, naturally I filled it in.I have actually enough work to be going on with but you don't pass up the chance to work for one of the large old core companies.It would be like if fs beta test team or something opened I'd still apply, even if I didn't last for that long even though I don't care about jaws it carries a lot of weight to be in one of those companies for jobs.While cash is less of a thing for gamers on the forums its reputation if I don't get in it was a fine side race.If I get in, then I will have fun juggling time round.

here is what is on his website Since the announcement that I will no longer be selling Super Liam or Judgment day, I have received a lot of email asking what exactly is going on. My answers to some common questions are below.1. What's the deal here?Super Liam and Judgment Day were written 10 and 8 years ago respectively. The technology that they run on is both outdated and difficult to program for. Both games were written with visual basic 6 which is now considered Legacy software. Being able to both support and make updates to these games is difficult at best.2. Why don't you just set them free?One of my major decisions in not making these games abandonware is there are customers who have spent their hard earned money in purchasing these games, and I feel making the game freeware is a huge slap in the face to them. I can confirm this. Super Egg Hunt Plus does have an automatic key generator. This is because the key is based on your name, and not on some arbitrary computer ID. For this reason, once you have a key, you have it for life, or at least for as long as the game will run on current hardware.

yeah, i'm pretty sure that super egg hunt plus has an automatic key generator. My friend bought it for me as a gift and I got the key right away.I agree with everyone else that liam should just have an auto key generator like he does with super egg hunt plus. I'm kind of glad now that I didn't by sl or judgment day. I was considering it for a while, but I was afraid to because of all the problems I heard of from people when they got keys, it would take up to weeks or even months to get one.I also hope that liam has not stopped trying to make judgment day freeware and that he has not just said to heck with it and dropped the whole project. He does sadly have a reputation for that.

Hi,Yes, this is stupid. In fact I actually baught judgement day and didn't get my key for like a month or so. Then I just requested the money back from paypal. Honestly, liam should just have an automatic generater or something like paladin does where it just generates a key right when you buy it, at least that's what I remember paladin doing.

Yes, this has been a known issue for years now.A similar thing happened to my friend. This was before Super Liam became freeware. He needed replacement keys for both Super Liam and Judgment Day. After many months, which is unacceptable, he finally got his keys.Then he went on vacation, and while he was away, his laptop was stolen, along with a bunch of his family's other possessions. So he needs a new key for Judgment Day again. This whole fiasco happened last summer, and he's still waiting.Whether Judgment Day is released as freeware or not, this is disgraceful. I understand that life commitments have gotten in the way, and that Liam probably isn't going to develop any new games. But really, how long does it take to generate a replacement key?
