[Axapta-Knowledge-Village] Grand Total for a single field in a report

2009-09-08 Thread Anitha S
Hi.

When "*Grandtotal*" property is set to "yes" in report, it prints the grand
total for all the numeric fields .
Can this be set as a *field specific*?
Say, among the 5 numeric fields in a report, is it possible to display the
grand total only for 2nd and 4th field.

Any idea??

RE: [Axapta-Knowledge-Village] ISSue AX2009 witth Windows Server 2008 and SQL 2008?

2009-09-08 Thread Kevin Krieger
AX uses AD for authentication - while you have AX installed on your laptop,
your laptop is not the domain controller - hence not the authenticating
server. When you log into the domain, your laptop is authenticating to the
domain controller - AX senses the log in and you have access. When you
unplug - you have disconnected from the network AX loses its place.

The only way you can work on your laptop is to install Active Directory on
your local install of Win Server 2008 and put it on a totally new domain. Do
not install then try and connect to your normal domain as you will raise
more issues across the network. You may have to reinstall or repair your
AOS install after this.

Microsoft have launched a lean manufacturing solution in Ax2009.

To recap

* Process Manufacture - Fullscope

* Discrete - standard Ax

* Lean - Standard Ax in Ax 2009

So there is a vertical for process manufacturing and another vertical or module
for lean manufacturing? or for both lean and discrete we can use the Production
module that comes wiht AX?

Hi,

When looking at process manufacturing you would be looking for recipes and not
BOMS. Process Manufacturing would be using Co & Bi-products neither lean or
discrete will have this.
