Brian Usually the approach taken is to add in the WSSecurity module Rampart. If you want to do security yourself, you could get access to the MessageContext, find the HTTP Username/Password headers, do the base64 decode, and then you would have the UID/PWD. Rampart does all that, as well as more. In return you have to give it a callback where it asks you whether a given UID/PWD is correct. Paul On 8/2/06, C. Hello, I have been looking for an Axis2 service level authentication example, but have been unable to find any examples.
