only place you would find a used one is ebay.

Any chance of getting just one louver? I bought a pair years ago and
somehow lost one. Perhaps it never made it into my trunk (I bought it
direct from the vendor and it was a big order), but I've never taken
care of it. If I can't buy one new, I'll take a good used one if it is
not expensive...

RE: [Chevelle-list] new parts available

2003-12-05 Thread John Nasta
They look great. I haven't tried to install them, so I can't comment on fit.
Kick panels without vents have been around for a long time though, so I'd
imagine fit would not be an issue. I suppose each retailer will determine
their own price. I haven't added them to my database yet, so I actually have
not come up with a price yet. Suggested retail from the manufacturer is
$198/pair, which seems about right to me given what they cost on the
wholesale level (they aint cheap).

The 4pc set would do one window so you would need two sets in order to do the pair of
windows. the price is $127.95 each, but if you got both then we can drop the price. We
do not have a completed catalog, but we have a fair amount of our items on our site.
If there is something you need but dont' see feel free to give us a call and we can
help you.

My pleasure. A very good book for this sort of thing is the Chevrolet Parts
Interchange Manual, ISBN 0-7603-0016-X. I got mine from amazon.com.

Thanks Dale, I already covered this but I never said that 1964 and 1965 are
the same. I was saying that in 1964 the Chevelle and the El Camino used the
same rear bumper and again in 1965 the Chevelle and the El Camino used the
same rear bumper. From that point on, the Chevelle always used a different
rear bumper than the El Camino.

I show 64 and 65 as different as well. Part number for 64 is 3837999
and for 65 it's 3858438 but I show no difference between wagon and sedan
as there is in 66 and newer.

Trevor,

That's not what I meant. To make it more clear, in 1964 the Chevelle and El
Camino used the same rear bumper, and in 1965 the Chevelle and El Camino
used the same rear bumper.

p.s. the difference between the 71-72 radiator support I mentioned and the
ones that have previously been available is that the new one is a complete
kit with all of the rubber bumpers and brackets that you would need to
install the support. Previously only the support itself was available.
