Re: [css-d] PVII Pop Menu Magic not hovering on top of Flash or TabPanel Magic

2007-07-26 Thread Bob Boisvert
I have a page where I have a Pop Menu Magic drop down menu and a Tab Panel

Magic.

http://www.baysportsaustralia.com.au/lanai.htm

How do I get the drop down menu to drop ON TOP of the tab panel and not
underneath it. (And knowing how to get it to do this over a flash file would
be handy too.)

Joanne,

I haven't looked at the style sheets but have you tried changing the z-index
of the Pop Menu Magic sub menu items?

As far as flash, I believe there is a fix for this but don't remember off
the top of my head.

Bob

[css-d] Big gap between the center and footer divs

2006-08-05 Thread Bob Boisvert
Hi All,

I'm building a full CSS layout consisting of a header, left, right, and
center columns and footer.

Inside the center column I have 4 divs looking like below, excuse the art
work.

---
- - - -
- - 1 - - 2- -
- - - - - -
- - - -
- center DIV-
- - - -
- - 3 - - 4 - -
- - - - - -
- - - -
- -
---

 GAP

---
-Footer -
---

The problem I'm having is that I've got a pretty large gap between the
footer and the end of the above L, C, R columns. I can't see what's
happening in design view (Dreamweaver MX04), but in IE6 and NS7 it's
showing. I haven't posted this yet but wanted to see if anyone had an idea
about gap problems.

Thanks,
Bob

Re: [css-d] site check - IE 6 please

2006-06-26 Thread Bob Boisvert

IE6 the body background SOMETIMES disappears...on some pages i can
load it up and it looks fine, but then i reload and some of the content
 Background is missing...

Steve,

I can see what you're talking about in Windows XP Pro IE6, when the page
loads. I can go back and forth between pages and the problem doesn't present
itself again until I mouse over the menu items. I haven't looked at the CSS
but you may want to check for any kind of anomalies. I also noticed that in
you menu list, you have some empty em/em on each item, is that
intentional?

ul class=nav IR
li class=homelinka href=/em/emhome/a/li
li class=aboutuslinka href=/about.phpem/emabout us/a/li
li class=portfoliolinka
href=/portfolio.phpem/emportfolio/a/li
li class=contactlinka href=/contact.phpem/emcontact/a/li
/ul

Re: [css-d] Image Fading Effect w/ CSS

2006-06-19 Thread Bob Boisvert
I may be getting in on this a little late but there's a good explanation /
tutorial for image opacity with CSS at this web site. My apology if this has
been stated already.

[css-d] First full CSS layout

2006-01-28 Thread Bob Boisvert
Hi All,

I was wondering if you have the time, if you could look at this layout, it
holds up to about a 200% increase in text size before falling out of the
container. I would like to fix the menu which is a List-O-Rama CSS menu
(Dreamweaver extention) and I may try a sucker fish instead but in IE6 the
height difference is really spread out as compared to Firefox, Opera, and
Netscape.

I also have a strange event happening in the first top box on the right,
there is an image linked that is above the organization about, sometimes it
shows up, and sometimes it doesn't and I'm not sure why.

http://www.sppots.org/testing/new/

Any suggestions would be helpful; the original layout is from HTML Utopia
designing without tables. Eventually this site will be more dynamic as it is
a redesign of www.sppots.org

Thanks,
Bob

[css-d] Three column layout check

2005-12-19 Thread Bob Boisvert
Hi All,

I really haven't posted for quite some time now. Things don't usually go
right the first time with me particularly with CSS and no tables. Could
someone check this three column layout for me in various browsers? There's
nothing to the page itself, just some mock text I put in. This should be
just a quickie check but I wanted to make sure everything is in order.

http://www.sarjen-webdesign.com/testing/css/threecol.html

It looks good in IE 6, Fire Fox, and Netscape but I was wondering about
other browsers.

The basic layout came from the Sitepoint book HTML Utopia Designing without
Tables and I added some additional boxes.

Thanks,
Bob
