Bug#360714: Works
Hi Rene! Sorry for making trouble -- I guess it was issue with some library upgraded during recent system upgrade. The machine I was having problems with is at work and it's not rebooted or even X aren't restarted very frequently. This time restarting X server fixed the issue. Bug#361216: acknowledged by developer (Re: Bug#361216: Reinstalling dictionaries-common)
Hello! Max Gilead wrote: I found on packages.debian.org that the missing script is located in dictionaries-common package so I tried reinstalling it and it worked. So *something* is broken, but not necessarily the post-install script. Log below. and note that openoffice.org-common does depend on dictionaries-common, which *does* contain the script. You broke it somehow yourself. True, but this 'somehow' is by typical use of apt and re-installing OO.org packages, so it's possible that control scripts of some related package contains dangerous code which broke dictionaries-common install. Bug#356030: Upgrading from 3.26-3 to 3.26-8 breaks system configuration (moved stunnel file)
Package: stunnel Version: 2:3.26-8 Severity: important When upgrading from stunnel 3.26-3 to 3.26-8 its main file has been moved from /usr/sbin to /usr/bin. Bug#327282: xserver-xorg: Looks much like the problem here, but mine is more generic: Ctrl key combos not working
Package: xserver-xorg Version: 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 Followup-For: Bug #327282 My problem looks much like the one described here but is a bit more generic: no Ctrl+modifier+... key combos work. I can't switch to text consoles (Ctrl+Alt+Fn), can't open new tabs in gnome-terminal (Ctrl+Shift+T) etc. but *CAN* open new tabs in Mozilla (Ctrl+T) or save files (Ctrl+S). My current workaround is to add Section InputDevice ... Option XkbOptionsctrl:swapcaps EndSection option to /etc/X11/xorg.conf but it's obviously highly non-optimal solution. With this option set everything works fine, CapsLock works as Control, Control works as CapsLock... the only problem is they're switched ;-) I made no changes to hardware or configured X in any special way and everything was working fine until ~2 last weeks. Maybe your server closes all connections and thunderbird determines the bounds of a session by 'ImapSession' and not application session. Please state your specific setup. Bug#326484: mozilla-thunderbird: Marking mail as junk manually doesn't move mails to Junk folder if automatic junk moving is not selected

I cannot reproduce this. I do it that way regularly - e.g. if I want to train my junk filter - and AFAIK it always worked as expected. Hm, maybe my Thunderbird is a bit special considering the number of problems I'm reporting :-) but it doesn't work here in the configuration I described above. To clarify things: Setup A: [ ] 'Move incoming messages determined...' [X] 'When I manually mark messages as junk' Marking mail as junk makes trash can icon appear by the message, but it stays in the incoming folder. Setup B: [X] 'Move incoming messages determined...' [X] 'When I manually mark messages as junk' Marking mail as junk marks it with trash can icon AND moves to Junk folder. I believe when marking messages as junk manually both setups should behave the same, which is like setup B. What do you mean by 'reconfiguring app before and after ...'? I means turning 'Move incoming messages determined...' on and off before and after marking messages as junk. Regards, Max PS. Bug#325750: enigma: Level 13 can be deadlocked
Package: enigma Version: 0.92-1 Severity: normal Level 13, 'Ice Skating' from 'Enigma' level pack can be deadlocked by moving one of the blocks into the center cell where player ball spawns. If this center cell is occupied and player loses the ball new ball appears in this place but is invisible and nothing else can be done except to restart the level. ...and thanks for this wonderful game ;-) Regards, Max -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages enigma depends on: ii enigma-data 0.92-1 Data file for the game enigma ii libc6 2.3.5-5GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.1-6 GCC support library ii libpng12-01.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libsdl-image1 1.2.4-1image loading library for Simple D ii libsdl-mixer1 1.2.6-1.1 mixer library for Simple DirectMed ii libsdl-ttf2.0 2.0.6-5ttf library for Simple DirectMedia ii libsdl1.2debi 1.2.7+1.2.8cvs20041007-5.3 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libstdc++51:3.3.6-9 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libzipios++0c 0.1.5.9+cvs.2004.02.07-3 a small C++ library for reading zi enigma recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#320810: Installing postgresql-8.0 creates unusable entry in /etc/passwd
Package: postgresql-8.0 Version: 8.0.3-12 Severity: important Installing postgresql-8.0 creates /etc/passwd entry for user postgres with shell set to /bin/false -- this way it's impossible to su to user postgres to create users, databases etc. I suppose there are tools which can do this without shell but imho su-ing to user postgres is the most obvious, simplest (at least for software developer like me ;-) ) solution and therefore should be supported in default install. Bug#313358: mantis: Adding note fails after upgrade

Please point your browser at $URL/admin/ where you can also trigger a manual database update. There you can also find out whether any database updates have not yet been run. Indeed, there were two items to apply. I run the upgrade manually and now it seems everything works fine. Thank you very much! Bug#313358: mantis: Adding note fails after upgrade
Hilko Bengen wrote: From what version did you upgrade? 0.17.x? I'm not sure but I believe it was one of the first (probably the first) 0.19 series version available in Debian; timestamp of old configuration files in /etc/mantis is October 20, 2004. I suppose I skipped an upgrade or two since then because previous upgrade was very painful so I put the package on hold till now. Was the database upgraded?
