Please don't change the submitter of a bug other than for fixing an outdated
emailaddress. 'owner' is indeed the correct way to indicate who will fix a
bug.

Since in this case the old submitter doesn't mind, you can leave it as it is
now, though.

1. This is ISO country code for Russia

3. This is a language coding schema quite widely using elsewhere. See *-en,

In what language? How does an average user is supposed to know what

What about just changing the last sentence to something like:

This is a translation into Russian from the English text.

That would seem to clairify things at least as well as the cfi-sv and
cfi-en packages, which do name their languages explicitly in their long

Bug#262706: Are you still interested?

2004-08-30 Thread Enrico Zini
Hello,

Having received no replies to my inquiries from you for more than a
week, I had to upload a fixed log2mail package myself, in order to at
least have a fixed version for sarge.

If in two days I won't see any message convincing me that you're still
and really interested in maintaining the package, I'll retitle this bug
in O: log2mail again.

Ciao,

Enrico

Bug#269112: ITA: pose -- PalmOS Emulator

2004-08-30 Thread Lucas Wall

Package: wnpp

[I'm not sure if this should be an ITA. What's the correct title when a
package has been removed from unstable, but has bugs pending and is
still in stable?]

The package description of pose is:
An emulator for Palm Computing organizers. Requires a ROM file, which
can be transferred from a physical Palm device, or downloaded from
palm's website (if you sign a license agreement).

POSE is still useful. The alternative is Palm's simulator, but there is
no Linux version and its proprietary software.

After applying some patches I made it compile with gcc 3.3 and
libfltk1.1. This should cover the pending, and most important, issues
with this package.

Upstream is dead, regarding this package, but the community has been
working and producing patches for POSE. I understand that working with
dead upstream packages can be a problem, but since I use this program
a lot I am willing to take its role, as far as Debian is concerned, and
try to solve any future issue that might pop up.
