Can confirm this too. I reported #1134765 yesterday but didn't remember the right place I clicked to make it crash. It was indeed the "All settings" button. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 945033] Re: external keyboard/mouse not available after login on precise
Confirming on 12.10. External keyboard is not detected at all on boot if it is plugged in and switched on. Most of the times it is detected if it is plugged in and switched on only when login prompt is visible. Sometimes to get it detected it is required to turn it off, unplug, plug back in, turn on and possibly some magic words - then it starts to always work. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1005174] Re: HUD Service high CPU usage with Firefox
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 987060 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/987060 I really do not think this is a duplicate of #987060. Can we remove this status? After using the computer for a while I start getting this every time I switch to Firefox which has been running for some time. Memory usage itself is ok. Computer works fine, using or not using the HUD, but when I CTRL-TAB to Firefox, CPU jumps up and Firefox is very laggy for ~10-20 seconds and then CPU goes down and everything is fine. Until I switch to another window and then back to Firefox. Really annoying, I know removing firefox global menu addon helps for this but I wouldn't want to do that, except probably will have to due to this bug since Firefox is unusable.. Btw, I have thousands of bookmarks. Ubuntu 12.10 running stock Unity and Firefox 16.0.2. Attached is an image of how cpu usage is every time I switch windows after using the computer for a while. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-appmenu/+bug/1005174/+attachment/3419543/+files/Screenshot%20from%202012-10-31%2010%3A51%3A20.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to firefox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1005174 Title: HUD Service high CPU usage with Firefox Status in The Application Menu: Confirmed Status in Unity: Confirmed Status in “firefox” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Status in “indicator-appmenu” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: When using HUD to access Firefox menus, it will use a high amount of CPU (around 70%), even after Firefox is closed. Setting pipeline to NULL ... Freeing pipeline ... I have tried reinstalling all the installed gstreamer packages as well totem, but to no avail. How does gstreamer match plugins against the video type, eg 'video/quicktime, variant=(string)iso'? [Desktop-packages] [Bug 992198] [NEW] Nautilus file copy dialog doesn't show in ALT-TAB on Unity 2D
Public bug reported: Unity 2D: When initiating a file copy in Nautilus the file copy dialog appears normally. However once it is lost by changing to other windows, it cannot be found either via the launcher or with ALT-TAB. The launcher clearly shows a file copy is going on (shows two windows open and a progress bar on the icon) but clicking it only enables access to the Nautilus window, not the file copy dialog. This has been fixed in Unity 3D but not 2D - see bug #868032 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/868032 Release: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (64bit) Nautilus version: 1:3.4.1-0ubuntu1 Unity 2D version: 5.12.0-0ubuntu1 Expected: File copy dialog can be retrieved via launcher or ALT-TAB Actual: File copy dialog cannot be retrieved ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: nautilus unity2d -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992198 Title: Nautilus file copy dialog doesn't show in ALT-TAB on Unity 2D Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Unity 2D: When initiating a file copy in Nautilus the file copy dialog appears normally.
