[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1858349] Re: EAP-MSCHAPv2 support
It maybe your lucky day. I am the author of sstp-client and I just kicked off another build of sstp-client for Ubuntu 21.10 (Impish). [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1858349] Re: EAP-MSCHAPv2 support
Upgraded to Impish and now sstp-client doesn't work anymore because ppp 2.4.7 is not present. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1858349] Re: EAP-MSCHAPv2 support
I'm sorry @eivnaes I didn't know this pppd 2.4.9 only works on Impish. I'm on 20.04. I'm upgrading right now and I'll give it a try. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1858349] Re: EAP-MSCHAPv2 support
@stratolion you mean, you upgraded to Ubuntu 21.10 (Impish) and it is no longer working for you? This bug was filed against 2.4.7. I don't think you can just download and install that .deb as many other packages (including network-manager) depends on it. Your other packages expects to find it's plugins in /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.7 and not /usr/lib/pppd/2.4.9. Did you upgrade to 21.10 and it still crashes on you, then file a new bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to ppp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1858349 Title: EAP-MSCHAPv2 support Status in ppp package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: There is a patch available via this link. https://w3logistics.com/blog/archives/438-EAP-MSCHAPv2-for-pppd-2-4-7.html Adding support for EAP-MSCHAPv2 to this would be very helpful for sstp-client project to connect to an Azure instance. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 1858349] Re: EAP-MSCHAPv2 support
Top version installable on Ubuntu repository via apt-get is 2.4.7. I uninstalled, then downloaded the .deb for 2.4.9 version and installed it and it crashed my network-manager, had to reinstall it and go back to 2.4.7. Any way around this?
