[slim] Duet Controller Artist List
When I review the Artists list under Music Library using the Controller, the Artist includes albums where the artist is listed in the Artist tag, but it also includes albums where the artist was a Composer for at least one track. In other words, Nick Lowe is included in my Artists list. Under Artist it includes his album "16 All Time Lowes", however an album by Dave Edmunds is also listed where Nick Lowe is the composer for a song. When I view my Artists list under Music Library in SqueezeCenter 7.01, the Artist Nick Lowe only includes the album "16 All Time Lowes". How can I get the Controller to match the Artist listing in SqueezeCenter. I do NOT want songs where an artist is only a Composer to appear under his Artists listing. All of my tracks are ripped in flac, primarily using dBpoweramp. [slim] Music Library - Missing Songs
I am using the SB Duet and scanned my library. If I open a track using the remote and for whatever reason SqueezeCenter is not running - it says that it can't open file - which is fine. However, once SqueezeCenter is running - if I view my library that particular track is missing until I do a complete rescan. Is there any way to restore that song without a rescan? [slim] FLAC Playback Bitrate
I just installed the Duet and was playing back some tracks ripped in FLAC. The bitrate spec for the tracks is 1411kbps, yet when I playback on the Duet and review the track info it says that the bitrate is 836kbps VBR. Is this normal or is there a setting I need to change in SqueezeCenter to get playback at 1411kbps? Thanks for the help - changing slimserver.exe and slim.exe to inbound from outbound and a reboot of my PC did the trick. I just had one question - was I supposed to change both slimserver.exe and slim.exe to inbound or just slimserver.exe. [slim] Connect to Slimserver with PC-cillin
I recently purchased the Squeezebox2 and connected it to my network. When PC-cillin Internet Security is shut down, the Squeezebox2 finds slimserver and I can playback music. However, when I activate Pc-cillin, the message "Connecting to slimserver" appears for about 10 seconds, then disappears without connecting. I went into my firewall and setup both slim.exe and slimserver.exe to connect to ports 3483, 9000 and 9090 for both TCP and UDP to all IP addresses for an outbound connection. Any ideas for what I have to do to establish a connection without shutting down my firewall?
