Try installing caustic 2. Then go into settings. There your audio latency are measured. Good tool to get a po9inter to your audiodevices latency. [slim] Stream google play music
So tonight the developer of bubbleupnp released an androidapp that enable streaming of google music to upnp clients. It might be. Don't know about spotify and so on. Just tried squeezeplayer on my galaxy nexus jelly bean and with latency haxx :) latency are now down to 11ms. Awesome :) At least as good as a hardware player. [slim] Edcast/Icecast streaming
Since it was hard to show people how to use squeezecenter with spotify/youtube and so on when I had a party at home, I searched for an other solution. I used wave input and ds-bridge but since my server were not at the same computer I came up with this: I now use Edcast in conjunction with Icecast. I get a lag about 5 seconds but my sqeezeboxes play anything I input in my computer. Edcast listen to "stereo mix" from the soundcard and it's streamed as a 320kbs ogg stream who I subscribe to in squeezecenter. Works fine for me. Sometimes my boom loses the sound but never on my radios. if that happen I pause the stream on squeezecenter and restart it. Anyways thought maybe someone might find it helpful. [slim] Fixed buffer?
Is there a way to set a fixed buffer on squeezebox? So that for say you could set a 10 second delay in vlc and have sync with the movie. I wouldn't mind a long delay so long it's fixed.
