[dspace-tech] CC license step.

2019-05-09 Thread Gonzalo Villegas
Hi.
I'm using dspace version 6.0 and I can't configure the submission form to
show me the step where I can choose the CC license type.
I only have the option of a check box to accept or not the license shown.
where could I see a sample dspace.cfg to see what I'm doing wrong?
thank you right away.

2019-05-09 Thread Claudia Jürgen

Hello,

you have to configure it see:
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSDOC6x/Configuration+Reference#ConfigurationReference-ConfiguringCreativeCommonsLicense

and enable it in:
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-6_x/dspace/config/item-submission.xml#L259

Hope this helps

[dspace-tech] CC License step failing

2018-04-02 Thread George Kozak
Hi,
We have a DSpace 5.5 and a DSpace 6.2 install. This afternoon, the CC
License submission step stopped working and caused an internal error. I
don't use Twitter, but one of my co-workers who does saw Creative Commons
tweeted that their API was broken, but an hour later said it was back up.
However, our DSpace installs are still failing at the CC License step. I
tried rebooting my tomcat, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

[dspace-tech] CC License Step on submissions form

2016-02-22 Thread Fitchett, Deborah
Kia ora koutou,

We’re on DSpace 3.1 using xmlui.

We’ve got some items in our repository which need the PD (public domain)
license attached, but don’t want students to try to attach this license when
submitting a thesis.

1) Is there a way to specify which of the CC license options appear when
users submit an item, other than in dspace.cfg?

2) If not, what ramifications would removing the PD option from dspace.cfg
have outside of the item submission form? Ie would it affect existing items
with the license attached, and/or prevent us from adding that license to items
in future by manually editing the metadata?

Thanks very much,

Not that I'm aware of -- I think you can just give the class filters
in dspace.cfg:
https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/blob/dspace-3_x/dspace/config/dspace.cfg#L791
(I assume those are what you mean).

As far as I can tell, that option is only used in the item
submission (& review workflow) form. It would definitely neither
affect existing items nor prevent you from adding whatever you like
via the edit metadata / edit bitstreams screens.

You could try and hack what goes into the licenses drop-down via
_javascript_, to remove the PD option for submissions to your thesis
collection/s.

cheers,
Andrea

RE: [dspace-tech] CC License Step on submissions form

2016-02-22 Thread Fitchett, Deborah
Kia ora Andrea,

Thanks very much – that confirms my suspicions. Given this I think we might as
well edit the class filters in dspace.cfg and if we want to add a Public Domain
mark to anything just do it manually. I’ll test to make sure the PD logo still
displays via the page-structure.xsl, if not then I’ll look into the javascript
option.
