Make sure you can transmit and receive. Once that is done, all DX4WIN needs is the path to the MMTTY.exe file. Re: [Dx4win] RTTY & dx4win latest version
MMTTY can also make use of an external sound card such as Signalink USB or any other sound card installed in your Windows software. Open the MMTTY window in DX4WIN, select Option tab in MMTTY, then Soundcard tab and select the sound card that you would like to use. As someone suggested earlier, if you have an external soundcard for RTTY, it is good practice to ensure that your computer soundcard is selected as the default in Windows--while the appropriate external soundcard for RTTY is selected in MMTTY as the one it will use. This ensures that computer generated sounds and beeps do not get sent to your radio. 73, Dave, N4QS -Original Message- From: DX4WIN [mailto:dx4win-boun...@mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of Jim Reisert AD1C Sent: Friday, January 22, 2016 8:58 AM To: w...@att.net Cc: dx4win@mailman.qth.net Subject: Re: [Dx4win] RTTY & dx4win latest version > I see there is a RTTY window (that you can't close )and a MTTY WINDOW also > I believe I'm going to USE The sound card inside my router and the Mitty window in dx4win. > why are there two windows? OK thanks Jim , and thanks for The extra effort you put into the program yeah I remember the days of the TNC I just want to make sure that I'm doing the set up right Bernie/WO2N.> PS: By the way you see that greater than arrow I used after my call sign, an old timer told me that in early days of radio teletype that was the sign for over. [Dx4win] RTTY & dx4win latest version
Newbie to radio teletype... I see there is a RTTY window (that you can't close )and a MTTY WINDOW also I believe I'm going to USE The sound card inside my router and the Mitty window in dx4win. why are there two windows? Previously in earlier version I was using the RTTY window , instead of packet window for cluster connection , which probably isn't correct, but it worked Just getting started thanks for the input Bernie/WO2N.> Sent from my iPhone 6s> __ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
