Re: Such a caring and loving group!
i think it's the love of FeLVs, in general, that keeps us here, whether we currently have FeLVs in our life or not. they need advocates SO badly, and i've never met anyone, on or off the group, who could turn their back on these darlings once having known one more than that, it's just a great group of PEOPLE regardless of the connection we share to that nasty virus--the willingness to share joy AND sorrow, the lack of judgment, the long-term commitment to one another is what distinquishes this group from so many i'm on blessings on all of us! -- MaryChristine AIM / YAHOO: TenHouseCats MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 289856892

I've always thought so too There must be some way to compile all the ideas, opinions, and treatment experiences we've all had and put something together. RE: Such a caring and loving group!
What I have learned over the years is that no matter how excellent of a vet s/he might be, no one knows "everything" --- and no one is updated on the most updated information on everything... I think the main difference is our attitude about "we want to know and learn about everything because we are so committed to do whatever possible for the furry children we so care and we so love very much! I have in the past mention a few new treatment for my kitties for different problems which my vet were not aware of at all and my vet is secure and open minded enough to look into it - she respects that fact that I do my part as a parent of my furry children.. I will not be able to work with any vets who can't stand being questioned.. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of wendy Sent: Wednesday, November 23, 2005 10:22 AM To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Subject: RE: Such a caring and loving group! I agree with many of you. I don't see myself going anywhere anytime soon, even though I don't have any FeLV kitties at present. The information is so valuable and can be used for illnesses whether related to FeLV or not. In addition, I will NEVER forget the support that I got here when Cricket was sick and after he died, and I am a big believer in paying it forward. I want to help others the way you all helped Cricket and me in our time of need. I also agree that there are other problems non-kitty related that we discuss from time to time and frankly there are many people here who are wise and who I would have no problem with taking advice from on any number of issues. :) Wendy P.S. Do they offer veterinary courses/licenses online, because many of you might qualify!? lol. __ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.yahoo.com

Ditto. I think one great thing about this group is that we are allowed to talk about other problems than feLV related. I have two felv kitties, but I also have non felv kitties who I need a lot of advise and support from. And everyone has been more than wonderful to give me what I need. I am so grateful!
