Hello again, The problem is now solved. The previous init.mp4 was corrupted. I tried to re-download it and re-cat the files, then the upscaling returned no errors. I concatenated the initialization file init.mp4 with one of the segments seg1.m4s to new_seg.mp4 using cat. With the help of mp4dump, I could see that all the required information (e.g. [trak] and [trex]) presented in new_seg.mp4. However, I still got the same errors when I was upconverting new_seg.mp4.
