Point of order: Is anyone else receiving emails with an enormous amount of header material? Don't know what it for or why. thanks tim On Oct 11, 2016, at 11:07 PM, Ryszard Pusz wrote: > Hi, > > I am running Finale 2014 on Mac 10.7.5. How can I change the staff names from > the default? [Finale] staff names
Hi, I am running Finale 2014 on Mac 10.7.5. How can I change the staff names from the default? I often combine a few different percussion instruments in a single stave and usually in positions that are different from their position in Finale. As a result I need a new name, even if it is only a number. cheers, Ryszard ___ Finale mailing list Finale@shsu.edu https://lists.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale To unsubscribe from finale send a message to: finale-unsubscr...@shsu.edu
Re: [Finale] Printing 8.5"x11" PDF 2-up to 12"x18" paper
I use CreateBooklet. It puts itself in the Mac print dialog as one of the choices in the pdf dropdown menu. I open a set of pdfs in Preview, choose target paper size, select “create booklet” from the pdf dropdown menu, and a new document opens in Preview. I usually create my Finale files as 9x12. So the margins I set in my file transpose perfectly to 12x18 paper. You can find the latest version in the app store for $10. You can find version 1.1 out there for free. Re: [Finale] Printing 8.5"x11" PDF 2-up to 12"x18" paper
Yes, but that process is extremely slow and cumbersome when working with a large number of files. I found this solution, which is very good and speeds things up considerably. It’s still a 2-step solution, which is less than ideal. And and it’s not smart enough to automatically switch to Straight Page Order for 2-page originals when printing in Folded Booklet Order (so you have to manually exclude 2-page originals) but it’s FAR better than doing it manually. http://www.sibeliusblog.com/news/batch-scale-pdf/ Cheers, — DJA - http://secretsocietymusic.org > On Oct 11, 2016, at 2:12 AM, Ryan Beard wrote: > > Can you print to PDF each page first to 9"x12", then impose those two 9x12 > pages on 12"x18"? > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Oct 10, 2016, at 7:27 PM, Darcy James Argue wrote: >> >> Hello, >> >> Does anyone have a good solution for printing 8.5”x11” PDFs 2-up onto >> 12”x18” paper that both enlarges the image the correct amount and preserves >> equidistant margins? >> >> The app Bookbinder’s Collator does this perfectly when making booklets, but >> it is not able to do regular 2-up.
