He has many diploma daughters, fillies who have earned the breeding diploma at the aged of three by scoring 40 points out of 50 at the evaluation. Ljosen also has sons approved for breeding. The stallion himself also has a successful show-record. Ljosen was foaled in 1977 and died just recently. His Swedish studbook number was 145. I think most people would agree that Ljosen was one of the most successfull stallions used in the Swedish breeding programmes in the late 80's and early 90's. >> Thank you Anneli for the info. Anvils Ljosen (he has been called Duke but I will call him Ljosen) is settling in, my mares are both totally in love with him and are fighting for his attention. I have to get to work and build a new house for my goats so he can have a stall. For now he is doing fine turned out in the arena. Sue Clark-Sorger Crown Oak Fjords Sandia Park NM

New Fjord (number 3)
This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Three years ago on April 1st I purchased my first Fjord, today on April 1st I will pick up my third. Mike said once that Fjords are like potato chips you can't have just one. True very True. I have had so much fun with my first Fjord doing a bit of showing, drives with the local carriage club, parades and much more that I don't want it to stop when I breed Katrina this year. Heather my 2nd Fjord is a coming 2 year old and is not ready for much yet. So I purchased Anvils Ljosen an 18 year old gelding. Ljosen has been owned by the same owner for 15 years and has been standing in a pasture for much of that time. Someone at one time trained him to drive and trained him well, and he hasn't forgotten. He is great fun to ride and drive and will be a fitting replacement for Katrina if and when she has a baby to take care of. I will also be able to drive him as a pair with Katrina they will need a little work but they are built so much alike when I am up behind them I have to remember who I put on which side. Anvils Ljosen is registered with the Canadian (3 fjords registered with 3 registries) his sire was Ljosen and his dam was Laura. Can any one tell me about his sire?, his name sounds familiar.
