The link to the site is: www.allwell.tv When I say it encodes the commands on the command line I mean exactly that.Pressing the remote control you can see the codes actually appearing on the command line (console). Thus we need to encode freevo to respond to 2 kind of commands eg: the down-arrow on the keyboard will move the curser down as well as cntrl-] from the remote control device. I found a reference to this on the same site from a person who had the same problem. The application is a different one but you can get the idea. http://www.allwell.tv/Download/MPEG/Remote_Program/remote_program.html The list of commands the remote control sends can be found here: http://www.allwell.tv/Products/Set_Top_Box/IR_Device/ir_device.html > If your commands totally bypass lirc and there is some other way of > capturing them it is possible for you to write a plugin that listens for > the commands then send them to the rest of Freevo. Anyway to get Freevo to list everything in the movies directory by filename, instead of description? I was looking around for it but couldn't find anything. Re: [Freevo-users] Freevo, dfbmga and sdl. (that old chestnut)
If you put directfb in your freevo.conf, it's an error since Freevo doesn't know about directfb, just about dfbmga, hence the message you're getting. Re: [Freevo-users] webradio support
I would recommend: Mostly Classical Classical Music http://www.mostlyclassical.com/mp3/classical128k.pls Xine works only somewhat; Mplayer follows the embedded IPs in the pls file (which is important since mostlyclassical changes often enough to make it annoying to hardcode the IPs) Xine only works if you "wget" the file and parse out the ip from there. KillRadio.org Punk, Folk, Country, Hip-Hop, Electronic, non-Mainstream in general http://www.killradio.org/listen.pls Same problem as before with Xine; mplayer works beautifully. That's just off the top of my head. Aubin On Sun, Aug 17, 2003 at 07:29:47PM +0200, Dirk Meyer wrote: > Hi, > > I added a web radio plugin to freevo. The problem is: what should be > in it? Re: [Freevo-users] webradio support
It has more to do with mplayer; but recent (CVS of the main branch) have much improved RealAudio streaming, and when coupled with the live.com rtsp support, it's pretty decent overall. MMS has always been supported, as has HTTP so I think it's pretty much covered. [Freevo-users] Constant audio when computer starts
Hi, I have almost every function of freevo working, and decided to work on my TV tuner card. Once I installed it and insmod'ed the modules, the audio is always on, whether or not I am watching TV. Any ideas? I have a diammond DTV2000 (Bt848) chipset, which I have plugged into the CD-IN on my on-board sound card (no other place to plug it into). I am running debian testing. My /etc/modules looks like: tuner type=2 bttv card=5 To turn off that part of the sound, I have to mute the CD-IN... which I am assuming is not the correct thing to do? [Freevo-users] webradio support
Hi, I added a web radio plugin to freevo. The problem is: what should be in it? I used the gxine mediamarks, but most of the urls are not working and I want more information of the stream. So everone: please send me (or the list) _good_ urls (stuff you listen to) and descibe them: o Name o URL o genre (e.g. pop, clasic, info if it's mostly talking, ..), o language (of the talking between the songs) o homepage (if the station has one) o maybe a small description o player info (does it play only with mplayer, only with xine or both). If you have some nice web tv urls, send them, too, but mark them as video, so they will be placed inside the movies directory. Re: [Freevo-users] Freevo, dfbmga and sdl. (that old chestnut)
Thanks Aubin, that checks out fine. ldd /usr/lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0 libdirectfb-0.9.so.19 =>/usr/lib/libdirectfb-0.9.so.19 (0x40088000) So, sum up, mplayer works stand alone and DirectFB is buuilt against sdl correctly. At the same time Freevo is not even calling DirectFB hence no DirectFB output messages during startup. Its interesting that if I substitute directfb for dfbmga in freevo.conf and run freevo I get this on the console but still no directfb output messages. Re: [Freevo-users] SMB Shares
Hi, ok to mount the smb share manually is one solution but i was thinking of somekind of automated search. As it is possible with the "network neighbourhood " feauture in wind*** You just select whole network or current workgroup and freevo will search for all computers /workgroups which are available on the net and will display their names. Then you can browse the whole thing like a directory structure. This should be very useful if you have limit space on your freevo machine. You just plug in a computer somewhere in you network and then search for it on your tv. no config hacking and no trouble Benjamin Zeiss wrote: hi, --On Saturday, August 16, 2003 13:24:13 +0200 Rudi Lindl <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: is there a plugin for browesing smb-shares within freevo? I think of somekind like the windows network neighbourhood. This would be quite helpfull if you have several computers in your network and want to play some media over the net. if you know the computers and shares you want to use, you can just use smbfs with or without automount (but be careful, there is a problem with the ogminfo module of mmpython, dischi: did you read my short analysis i posted here some time ago? i think it would be good if this will be fixed for the next release). otherwise there is the LD_PRELOAD thing called smbwrapper in the samba distribution which supposedly maps the samba network to the filesystem. i haven't tested it though... --- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now. I have Gentoo system and I downloaded rsync-freevo script file and ran it before 'emerge freevo'. However Freevo works well undex X, but for practical reasons, I don't want to use Freevo with X. -- Teemu Ahola EMail : [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mobile: +358 50 5873210 --- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
