They make an Airport Card for a Pismo?

No, but Apple does and the AirPort card goes completely inside the Pismo and
uses the internal antenna. However, this is only 802.11b, not 11g...

Laurent, LOL. I know Linksys doesn't make one. I just have it in my
mind that Apple released their version of 802.11b cards after the
Pismo. BTW are you still doing Newton stuff?

Linksys WUSB54G 802.11g adapter

2005-01-05 Thread Frank Cornew
Yes they do - think it was the first airport offering from apple,
portable or desktop.

And it does work very well. Probably a good reason for my holding on
to my Pismos.

Nonetheless, does anyone have know if there is any possibility to run
this thing on a Mac, wireless TCP/IP out the USB port, driver
sources, etc. Just happen to have a Linksys WUSB54G 802.11g.

I honestly don't see a problem as long as you are running 10.3. And if
you are worried it will do something to the USB port. Don't worry
about that. Plug it in and then go to the Network preference pane in
System preferences and see if it recognized. Then we can go from
there.

Hey Peter,

I'm not really doing any Newton stuff anymore. I might poke here and there,
but nothing serious. It is mostly to get stuff working for me. Like I tried
NewtSync which was released by the original author. However, it was crashing
on me, on my PowerBook, everytime I was trying to sync my address book. So,
I downloaded the whole project, ran it from the debugger, found where it was
crashing, rebuilt it and now I'm running it happily...
