Testing internal modem
Hi, I have a wallstreet 233 for my brother and have tried to get it working via the internal modem. Every time I try I get a message that says that the is not responding. I have to check its corrections etc. I have reinstalled 9.2.2 and use the right modem scripts (internal modem v90, or v34) Nothing works. Here in my house with a wireless network I can surf using the wallstreet and an orinoco silver card without any problems. In his house he will have to use the phone line. That way you can view the transaction between the PPP module running the modem script and the modem's responses. If you see from the log that the script is totally unable to get a response from the modem, then it might be fried. Try reseating it; sometimes that fixes.
