Re: [Audyssey] bbs games was RE: anacrion game
Hi Darren. Lots of people have got the nerbbs to work on windows, there is a topic about it on audiogames.net if you wanted to ask questions, though if you wanted to use Ios that's okay to, anything that can do the telnet connection works. As I said with Xp there is no problem and it's definitely worth it for some of the games. All the best, Dark. There is always more to know, more to see, more to learn. It looked interesting, but it appeared to be missing files. I did some looking on Google and found that not only is the DOS game still around, but it had some new developments and the source has been released. Therefore, I present two versions of Anacreon, including Pascal sources and a manual. If there are any Turbo Pascal programmers out there, please let me know as I have a question for you. Anyway, if you have no idea what the game is about, it's similar to Tradewars 2002 back in the BBS era. You build an empire by conquering various planets and star systems. There are several included scenarios or you can write your own. The only problem is it uses direct screen writes, so you'll probably need to use your screen review mode to read the text. As I say, the sources are available, so feel free to make it more accessible.
