Hi Jakub,

your commit e046d290266f42a1bed67b5fe25122b00c70716d to
gnome-backgrounds broke the string freeze for 3.2.

Please either revert, or branch for gnome-3-2 first so that the change
is only in git master, or ask on gnome-i18n@ for a string freeze break
by explaining why this needs to be in 3.2.x.

Thanks,

Jakub fixed this by branching for gnome-3-2 before that commit.

Hi Jakub,

Could you please branch gnome-backgrounds before those commits that
added some strings to translate? Those commits broke the string freeze.
A gnome-3-4 branch will be enough :)

Cheers,

Is there a reason why this landed without i18n approval? Are you going

The strings aren't user visible and the commits already had acks from the

If they aren't user visible, why are they marked for translation?

Because they used to be visible prior to the Background redesign in 3.6.

We still have the same problem in GSettings schemas where, in the past,
we translated strings that weren't actually user visible. It would be
good if we could mark strings as "it would be nice if it were
translated, but not a problem if not".

Is there really a distinction about "user visibility" concerning freeze

Concerning how to mark them like that, I guess the reduced po-files in

I don't think there is any. I also wouldn't want this to become an
