Re: [Goanet] DOES DHAVALIKAR HAS POWERS TO DICTATE TERMS TO A COUNTRY?

Heh, heh,  Goa was not a colony.  It was an integral part of Portugal, albeit
far from the mainland.  That is why, very uniquely, Goans can and do get
Portuguese passports which allow them to better their economic prospects by
migrating to the West.

In one of the section of Press our Goa Minister for PWD and Transport Mr.
Dhavalikar has voiced his opinion ( today news) that Portugal must
apologize to Goans for colonial rule.
Who authorized him to say that? This sort of statement must come from the
Prime Minister of India with due approval from President and not even from
Chief Minister of the state. Before voicing his opinion he should have
consulted political analyst or any high level Government body.
In fact he should see first that his house must be in order and Goans live
in better conditions as the roads are in completely deplorable conditions.
I feel he should not indulge on international affairs which is not his
domain.

Brilliant Stephen, the following: see first that his house must be in order
and Goans live in better conditions.
In Marathi we would say "gudgyat mendu” (brain in the knees). I recollect
in Konkani: Baba, hencho mendu zorla/bazla!

It is very important, dare I say worthy, and perhaps even constructive to
abuse in the colloquial languages. Satire, ridicule, lampooning,
caricaturing, besides other forms of disparagement must be refined. This
English/Fanglish does not quite cut it, but of course that is what we have.
Their brains are wired differently as almost all conservative brains are.
These are not the old conservatives who were quite dignified although the
project was the same.

None of these guys even by way of a feint, will ever say that their own did
a number on Goa and are now thoroughly ensconced in Portugal. At that point
it is green or other equally relevant pastures for their own. More power to
Portugal and what it offers. Nothing again the Portuguese, but the
hypocrisy on part of our own grates. In fact they are proud that those some
of their own (ilk, mindset, community, and other religious proprieteries
are having their cake and eating it too (including now, Monginis in Goa).

Often the hypocrisy and attendant confusion simply waylays the thinking of
our own who cogitate agitadely on this crap about giving up the Indian
passport and other "coco meme" (yeah, another meme). What does anybody
want? Why the dearth of ideas? Are we serfs bonded to an ongoing feudalism.
What is this constant seeking of adrenaline highs to get people and
countries to do this and do this. In plain Konkani, it it jittiapon,
bamtteapon.

Pride is a very complex quantum. Do not f*&^ with it. India is built on
the backs of tribals, but at least now move on. Arise, otherwise there is
no point of talking about Arjuna. Forgot, Karna and Aswathama? Zalem? I am
sick and tired of having been told about Eklavya, meaning this is what
honor and order is! Really? How many of the shitheads understand that such
feudalism has no space in the today. No cars are being chucked, no bras
burned, no spurning of brands. Kiteak? Tras zatolo?

I am an US citizen. Soon to be in line for the ridiculous OCI. No choice,
no excuses, and now I am proud to be ignored within India. BUT, I will not
give up anything by way of how I encounter India, who I encourage, and what
I exchange with its minds. Other should take a flying f*&%. So will someone
tell me that I should not obtain/ or heaven forbid attempt to obtain the
OCI. Nothing tires me more than some of our asses who will say that no
matter what they did not give up the citizenship. Screw you. Do you even
get people' reality?

Dukrac nesoun machilant (netoun) kazarak vortale
Dukran chikol polloun marli udki rebbdant.
Dukor to dukor. Dukran dukra bhasen kelem.

Osli ghot henchi.

As I slowly resurrect myself from extenuating circumstances, I AM THINKING
of how I can possibly design products on the lines of our identity, of
course, erstwhile of otherwise! True. This is something that others if they
are interested and damaged enough should be contemplating on too. We HAVE
TO USE various forms of expression, including murals, clean spaces,
community spaces, poetry readings, music, to show the F*&%heads that hardly
a handful among them have a grip on their own so-professed identity.

I am very much a product of Hindu culture, and I know that is a very broad
term. But, it pisses me off that many, including myself ARE BEING pushed to
stoop lower and lower. No people should stomach that. No self-respecting
woman should contemplate falling in love with these a%^holes. No artist of
any persuasion should relent.
