FYI: The Father snuffed the breath out of the ceaserian delivered child so
that he could claim INSURANCE thro' LIFELONG PENSION. Who the hell was
bothered about the CHILD and its Bloody Future, anyway??? Why take more
headaches to have the child grow-up and be provided with a future??
See? the lifelong Pension has fortified me enough to climb the stairs of my
house any number of times at a ripe age of 98. Is that bad? Am I not doing
just fine??

Mr Mascarenhas still pines for the Goa of the past. Goa used to be a
peaceful place where people were content. That is not the case today, he
LAMENTED

A father was sitting in a taverna LAMENTING that his only child (now an
adult) had become such a mess. He told the reporter interviewing him that he
'was still looking for answers as to what went wrong'.

Q1: did you play a role in causing this child to be born?
Father: absolutely!

Q2: did you then do your bit to ensure that the interests of your child
would be safeguarded?

Father: absolutely!

Q3: what did you do?
Father: well, I wrote some editorials, published a magazine and poured some
concrete on a South Goa beach. What else could I do?

Q4: and with ALL that you did, is your child happy and content today?
Father: well, the journalist in me is still trying to determine that.

Q5: could it be said that you NEGLECTED the child you caused to be born?
Father: how so?

Q5: by not preparing for the arrival and future development of your child?
Father: I got to go. Arre Foranshik, mujem bill kitlem re?

(Father pays and heads out of the taverna)

What did he expect? That Goa would be left alone, after liberation? That Goa
would not be swamped by Indians, after having lived in Bombay/Mumbai, and seen
the utter corruption and dadagiri, the latter being the results of
prohibition and sever controls on imports?

The journalist in him continues to search for explanations for the present
state of affairs and solutions to the problems afflicting in the state. But Mr
Mascarenhas still pines for the Goa of the past. Goa used to be a peaceful
place where people were content. That is not the case today, he lamented.

He, and other free-dole-farters should return all that they have received
by way of PENSIONS. It was not pensions but a tape on their miserable
mouths, so they could not utter a single word for GOA.

Much credit goes to those Goans who put their lives on the block in their
pursuit of freedom. However, what became debatable to right thinking men and
women in Goa was, whether their motive was to oust one occupier and make way
for another; or to take over the reins themselves and let the U.N. declare an
addition to the family of nations, like it did East Timor four decades later.
But soon their intentions were laid bare. Jawaharlal Nehru’s ‘OperationVijay’
sealed the fate of Goans forever.
