[Histonet] Cryostat anti-roll plate
Hi everyone. Does anyone regularly use the anti-roll plate on their cryostat? Does it work well on the Leicas and Microms, or do you have to figit with it a lot? Does anyone have any tricks they can share to get it to work all the time? I found that a little spritz of freeze spray on the plate and the bottom of the roll glass helps, but it is still seems a lot easier for us to use a brush or a teasing needle. [Histonet] Cryostat cutting head temperatures
I was asking about the cutting head temperature because the Leica CM3050 literature says the cutting head can be adjusted down to -50c separately from the chamber temperature. Does anyone out there use this unit? It seems to be very popular with the research community. Do you ever adjust the temperature of the cutting head down that low, or do you just adjust the chamber temperature? Why would you ever use this separate feature? Why would you chose this unit over the 1850? Ken Durham, NC ___ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet
[Histonet] Super cold cryostat cutting head temperatures
Can anyone tell me why research labs often require cryostat cutting head temperatures down to -60C? Ken Durham, NC ___ Histonet mailing list Histonet@lists.utsouthwestern.edu http://lists.utsouthwestern.edu/mailman/listinfo/histonet
