If there is a new file where can we get it and is it already out (11:30pm PST)? ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

A: Everyone will be getting assigned a new Steam ID and it will not be possible to convert old banlists. That, if I understand correctly, is a shame. I'm assuming that all bans from VAC will now be lifted??? Sad.. very sad. RoAcH --__--__-- The way I understood it, VAC bans were supposed to be lifted after a set period based on your number of violations anyways. Not banning users until 2008 for 1 infraction... Anyways, If VAC caught people for cheating and those people cheat again, then VAC will catch them again. Mad Scientist wrote: If everybody read the information provided before asking questions, well, there's probably be nobody left using this list... I think people ask this question inspite of having read that because it is so unbelievable, hoping for Valve to realize what a terrible idea this is and saying "hey, yeah, that's really not a good thing, we'll look into making LAN games possible without requiring an INet connection". The way it is now they don't need to have a LAN mode at all since it doesn't make any sense. In effect they are killing all LANs. Terrible, terrible idea. I don't like it at all. To be frank, I fing hate it. Addon and MOD developers now always need to have an INet connection running in order to test their stuff. This suxorz major time. I hope there's a way to proxy the downloads via squid/mod_proxy, or whatnot. [hlds_linux] auto team balance by skill requested in CS
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I would just like to request that a feature to auto team balance be made PART OF CS that works on skill - like the plugins. But I don't want a plugin. I want servers to just do it so it helps create a level playing field for both teams. According to the great words of agenthh: > The question still remains: will we be able to play any Steam games > on LANs? If you followed the links Alfred posted, the answer is in there, and it's very clear.
