Please send me a private email ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and attach your whitelist file, that material (the .vmt and mag.vtf) and the model that references it. I'll try to repro the problem here. It looks like maybe the model has a slash in there somewhere that the whitelist code isn't suspecting. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rónai György Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2007 9:58 AM To: hlds_linux@list.valvesoftware.com Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Pure bug? RE: [hlds_linux] Help! Alfred? ...Anyone?!
This is our top priority bug right now. We have a repro for the idle bug but not this lag-like-hell bug, although I think they're related. We're running tests and will fix this as soon as we can. In the meantime, if people who are seeing this problem want to try some things and send some results, it would help: 1. Set net_queue_trace to 581304 and notice if/when the engine starts spewing " - threaded queued packet sent" messages. 2. Play with different values of net_queue_flush_interval. The default value is 1. Try 5. 3. Add -NoQueuedPacketThread to your command line. The engine will say "Found -NoQueuedPacketThread" so you'll know it's doing the right thing. Note that if you use this on the command line, then net_queue_trace and net_queue_flush_interval won't be used. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Alex / ch4os Sent: Wednesday, July 04, 2007 12:00 PM To: HLDS_LINUX Subject: [hlds_linux] Help! [hlds_linux] Server Rollback 2007-04-05 (link to server files included)
hi all, most of us know about the lags & problems occured by the latest 2 steam updates. i tested a lot of things (different compilers, linux distributions, 250hz/1000hz, large amount of different css settings, all without any plugins, etc.) - nothing helped. today i checked some of my backups & luckily found a fresh counterstrike installation from 5th april. i tested that with my friends...long story short: this version is very smooth, compared to latest css release. no round lags, spikes, whatever... i installed this version now on our largest css server (52 slots) currently with 40+ users playing. although the server is running with only 33 tick (!) it is very smooth. well, of course there is an disadvantage by using an older server version: you can not connect to the server by using css-favorites. however, connect via console works perfect (seems to not hinder our players of playing on our server since its quite crowded). for that, i postet a note on our website. for those of you that want to give this a try: http://213.133.110.146/~gameserver/css_2007-04-05.zip (~400MB) this package contains all files which i think are needed. maps, sounds, etc. are not included. just copy the files over your existing server installation. plz backup you directory before doning that! i do not take responsibility for everything! feedback appreciated! :) greetings from germany, karumba ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
