[hlds_linux] Looking for feedback on what kind of configuration options are needed MySQL on a Source Admin tool (BAT)
This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi, URL to BAT: http://www.sourcemod.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2923 Please take in mind this is intended to provide basic features, i will not have a 400 line config file with cvars. So if your liking is a cvar for every posible feature/posible desire then you can stop reading now. As im moving closer to this being done, i would like get some feedback on what server operators would like to be configurable. The basic of how i plan to do it: Admin table 1) Admins uniqe id ( Steamid or IP ) 2) Admin flags ( Not sure if smart to save the letters ( abcde ) or the num value of it. 3) Admin name ( so others admin can see who the admin is if he is fakenicking ) What cvars would server operators like to see? execpt for : username, password, database, table Is anything else needed? Like should BAT revert to users.ini ? Is pushing admin logs into the DB pointless? Or would you like some other feature. Please either reply on the list with feedback, or email me offlist. Re: [hlds_linux] RCon modules for Ruby
I have a rcon lib writen in C# ( .net ) if someone wants it ( Writen by Andrew Simpson ) , i was planning at one point to add ability to query public info from the servers aswell so it would be a complete library for source servers. If there is a interest i could mirror it for other ppl to use. Best Regards Erling K. Sæterdal Want a admint tool for Source servers ? I figured it might be of interest.) The reasons for the postings earlier was that I finally cleaned up my RCon classes for Ruby, and have released them. The rubyforge project is pending approval, so for now, you can get them here: http://erik.hollensbe.org/code/rcon/ The rubyforge page will likely be: http://rubyforge.org/projects/ rcon/ - I'll update here if that has changed. This release is tested on Linux, FreeBSD, and OS X. It should work on Windows, but if someone with some time and a pre-configured ruby installation has the time/interest to hack on it and get back to me, I'd appreciate it. The code is under a standard non-advertising BSD license. I was just curius if it could be related to any admin tool, but it seems not to be the case if its wrong in the client console ( via the status command ).
