Re: [hlds_linux] DoD:S Server Status
My jedi-sense picked up some failures in information between server admins and valve, can someone verify this? :) Tho, maybe this is a test: we are tested how far we are willing to go without global panic, hunger strikes, riots and so on. Please, give information! - Coixi Brandon Jank kirjoitti: -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Any updates on when the linux server files will be available? Re: [hlds_linux] MOTD problem.
Hi, Open you motd.txt in server and write the url of your motd.txt to that file. eg. your motd.txt in server would look like this: http://www.hardgaming.com/motd.txt Just put that line to your motd.txt (nothing else!) in server and make sure that you have your _real_ motd in that address and make sure that it's in .txt. hondaman wrote: would the syntax for motd.txt be: IFRAME SRC=http://www.hardgaming.com/motd.html;/IFRAME If so, that didnt work :( Ronny Schedel wrote: Use an iframe instead. I just tried that, and it didnt work for some reason. PiTaGoRaS wrote: The limit is 1024 bytes IIRC. The solution is simple. Just let the motd.html in your web server like now, and in your motd.txt load a frame like this: FRAMESET frame src=http://www.hardgaming.com/motd.html; frameborder=0 border=0 marginwidth=0 marginheight=0 scrolling=no /FRAMESET -- PiTaGoRas Sebastian escribió (Thu, 16 Dec 2004 10:08:53 -0500): yes there is a limit on the motd... the limit is pretty low, which sucks.. i can't even put 10 lines of text in it.. this is where the old motd had an advantage. - Original Message - From: Steven Hartland [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 16, 2004 9:29 AM Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] MOTD problem. Its more thank likely too big ( the number of characters ) There seems to be some sort of limit there some where.
