I can only guess. They might get more water, from gutter, than if planted
up on edge of footpath. May not be a problem if the hole is dug deep through
 any compacted road base.

This set fast preview views just fine on a OS X G4 10.5.8 setup.

Have there been any reported failures on OSX thus far?

Yes, by me. 2 days ago (1). I encountered this error 2 or 3 times but can't
reproduce it. Not with any of my 2 own test sets, nor with your set of
images.
I mentioned that I can't find traces of errors in my system log, but maybe I
did after all (used grep instead of grep -i). The biggest issue is that I
can't reproduce it when I want to (which is off course very nice for the OSX
users) and I didn't do an immediate search. I have been working on the
ptbatchergui call a lot and experienced more crashes: one or 2 more don't
ring a bell then even if it's in another area of hugin.

When backtracking in my system log, my guess is that the error that caused
it is:
ERROR: 16:25:18.676236
(/Users/Shared/development/hugin_related/hugin-2011.2.0/mac/../src/hugin1/hugin/TextureManager.cpp:624)
SetParameters(): GL Error when setting texture parameters: invalid
operation.
But as mentioned: that's a guess.
I hope a programmer can judge whether this is related or not.

Harry

On my Windows Vista laptop, Hugin does not crash with those pictures,
but no CPs are generated, so the FPW is not triggered. I must be
missing something.

The set consists of 5 images each approx 2 MB. I will see if I can get the

might make it easier to make them available.
How to I make them available? I don't have a site where I can put them.

I can give you a place to put them. I'll reply in private mail.

From these images I can stitch a pano without problems. On an Intel OS X
10.6.8 with hugin 2011.2.0-RC2 built by Harry van der Wolf and an internal
graphic card by ATI (RadeonX1600 according to System Profiler) everything
works as expected.

It's an Australian thing. In this part of the world, the two main
causes of car accidents are:

1. Speeds in excess of what a bureaucrat thinks is enough.
2. People driving into trees.

This panorama is an example of an attempt to give cause 2 a fair
chance.
