Nagarjuna I think any topic related to FOSS is fine for PHD. however, it is difficult to get a proper guide for the topic. I dont know your University rules and regulations, but generally, it is pretty difficult to get a guide who is free and can accomodate you as a student. Moreover, if it is for any FOSS topic, it will be even more difficult. All the best wishes for your PHD. Please let me know if I can also do PHD in your University.
