[JAWS-Users] Jaws loses focus on the tree view in Outlook 2010

2014-09-25 Thread Pinky
Hi Guys,

When I am in Outlook 2010 using jays 15 and win 7 after some time jaws does
not inform me how many email I have in my inbox, sent items, and other
folders I have. If I restart Outlook then Jaws will announce how many
emails I have in each folder. Then after some time say maybe an hour or so
when I arrow down the folder Jaws will not announce how many emails are in
each folder. Do any of you have this issue with Jaws and if so what can a
person do about it besides restarting Outlook?

Thanks in advance

I just recently found a program called Win driver expert, and since it's
free to distribute I'm going to post it on the server most likely tomorrow.

I haven't done an audio tutorial for quite some time because nothing has
crossed my desk I found interesting enough until now. I believe I will start
work on a recording this week as well if time permits as it will be a short
week.

It pulls out all non-Microsoft drivers which is all you really need and save
them to their own directories. It is not as elegant as say Driver Magician
but it is free so the price is right for anybody who can't afford the more
expensive alternative.

Hi Jorge,
That's not what I'm talking about, maybe this will sound better.
When you visit a website that requires you to log-in, after you have typed

I find this annoying, and would like to disable it if possible.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Password Prompts In Internet Explorer

2014-09-25 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Trish,

One thing to keep in mind is that the checkbox only controls whether or not
a person is prompted each time. In that same page there is a checkbox for
whether or not auto complete is used for user names and passwords on forms.
If you don't want passwords to be a part of auto complete then that checkbox
should likely also be unchecked. Also that same page of the dialog has a
button for deleting auto complete history. If that button is used there is
an option for removing the history of passwords.

Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Password Prompts In Internet Explorer

2014-09-25 Thread Trish
Hi,

I did find what you wrote here, I unchecked the one for auto-complete for
forms mode, I didn't find any other ones for passwords. I did find the
history clear button, but chose not to delete.
I have a very tempermentle bank, if cookies is removed, it messes me up big
time. I have to make sure the site is in that are to always allow, anyways I
haven't been coming across those sites asking for IE to remember the
password lately, it could be that I am not very venterous and just go to
same sites over and over.
It's real annoying cause, sometimes, it won't display the site until you do
that alt N, and even with that, it might pop up a msg admistermative rights
or something, I have to tab to ok button to get it to vanish.

2014-09-25 Thread Brian Lee
Hi Trish,

The checkboxes should only be unchecked if you don't want to use the auto
complete feature of IE. Some people prefer the auto complete for forms and
for user names and passwords so they don't remove the checkmark. Others
prefer that IE not remember and want to type in the info themselves. If
your banking site has form fields that you like to be automatically filled
in then you might choose not to uncheck the boxes and let IE remember the
info. I just mentioned those other options as other controls that can be
used in addition to not being prompted by IE to save passwords.

Take care.

Hi Jorge,
That's not what I'm talking about, maybe this will sound better.
When you visit a website that requires you to log-in, after you have typed
your user name and password, and hit the log-in button, Internet Explorer
will offer to remember your password for that site.
I find this annoying, and would like to disable it if possible.

Hi Jorge,
That's not what I'm talking about, maybe this will sound better.
When you visit a website that requires you to log-in, after you have typed
your user name and password, and hit the log-in button,
Internet Explorer will offer to remember your password for that site.
I find this annoying, and would like to disable it if possible.
Thanks for the reply.

Rick,
I never heard of an internet password, but I know you can set one, if you
want to open Outlook, or your PC.

They are both up on the server, the program and the tutorial. Search for
driver expert on the appropriate pages.

David:

Did you put this on the server? Did you do a tutorial?

Please send along links if you have done it all.

Thanx!

Hi. Switch sound converter is the one I usually use. I find the free
one is adequate for most simple tasks, and is very accessible.

Hello Deb:

I hope the following steps work for you. For some reason in my copy of
Word 2013 there seems to be a problem making changes stay but I hope that in
your copy of Word 2010 these steps will work.

1. Press Alt key with F to activate the File button.
2. Press Alt key with T to go into Word options.
3. In the list of categories press P to move to the Proofing category.
4. Tab to the Auto Correct Options button and use spacebar.
5. Press CTRL with tab key a couple times until you get to the Auto Format
as You Type choice.
6. Tab across the items. Check boxes by using spacebar.
7. Use the OK button a couple of times.

Take care.

Hi Deb,

First, I hope I am understanding your question correctly. Second, forgive me
if you already know this, but superscript characters are made smaller and
raised to the top right side of the last typed non-super script character.
In some cases, superscript characters are preferred, when typing a numbered
street name for instance. Using your example, if you were typing an address
such as 123 2nd Street, the letters n and d should be superscript.

Now that that is covered, and once again, forgive me if you were already
aware of this information, here is just one way to get the super script
characters to be non-superscript:

1. Select the superscript characters.
2. Press Control+D to open the Font dialog.
3. Tab 7 times to the superscript checkbox and uncheck it.
4. Press Enter.
Finished.

Mauricio
