[JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer 9 And Above And Jaws
Hello friends, When I an on a page on the internet e.g. the Freedomscientific download page, I press enter to click on a download which is fine. It then says notification required and you have to do an alt+n to actually download the file, to save or save as etc. After you have done this, the download starts but the focus doesn't seem to go back to the web page that you were on and to the link that you were using. You have to alt+tab out of internet explorer then alt+tab bvack in and tab around to find your last location. Is tis something that users have come across and has anyone managed to find a work around or a better way of doing things please? Steve. Re: [JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer 9 And Above And Jaws
Hi, I am not noticing this here with Internet Explorer 11 and Jaws15 on windows7. When you have lost focus, have you tried using shift tab instead of alt tab? Although it would rap around to the bottom of the page, it should return you to the web page itself without having to alt tab. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of steven Hicks Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2013 5:33 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer 9 And Above And Jaws Hello friends, When I an on a page on the internet e.g. the Freedomscientific download page, I press enter to click on a download which is fine. I experience this all the time very annoying. A classic example is when checking for updates on jaws, if there is an update it will not focus on the dialogue boz saying so, have to alt tab to it. graham -Original Message- From: steven Hicks Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2013 8:33 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer 9 And Above And Jaws Hello friends, When I an on a page on the internet e.g. the Freedomscientific download page, I press enter to click on a download which is fine. Thanks, it may be worth trying Firefox then, does FreedomScientific support any other browser? -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of isaac Sent: 18 December 2013 13:45 To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer 9 And Above And Jaws The only work arround is to down grade to internet explore 8 or use firefox. -Original Message- From: steven Hicks Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2013 7:33 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Internet Explorer 9 And Above And Jaws Hello friends, When I an on a page on the internet e.g. the Freedomscientific download page, I press enter to click on a download which is fine.
