https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378032 Tom Hardy changed: What|Removed |Added CC||rhardy...@gmail.com --- Comment #16 from Tom Hardy --- [ doubled from https://github.com/blue-systems/plasma-5.4/issues/48 ] This one needs my two cents, since I've spent a couple hours looking into it and reading this forum. I often notice a pop-up with buttons on it, just as it disappears. Was it important? I can't say, but apparently the developer didn't think so. Can I refer to the application for a clue? No, because I have no idea what it was about or what application produced it. This is annoying. Meanwhile I have yet to see a persistent notification after a year with KF5. The systray notification icon is apparently there to take up space and get me to spend time looking into the apparent problem. This could use a little work. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Committed on 01/04/2017 at 06:16. Pushed by wojnilowicz into branch 'master'. Fix rounding problem with investments Patch introduces rounding rules per security for fixing bug #372163. It seems that this broker always rounds amounts down while my broker rounds amounts depending on the outlying digit, so it couldn't work for both of us without rules. Rounding is done in InvestTransactionEditor because it has all needed informations at hand. No rounding of shares is done in InvestTransactionEditor::setupPrice. Transaction from bug #372163 looks as follows: brokerage: shares = 1,009 ; value = 1,009 investment: shares = -1 ; value = 1,009 InvestTransactionEditor::setupPrice causes brokerage to look as follows: shares = 1,01 ; value = 1,009 As we can see shares and value diverge, which is unacceptable here. Patch makes assumption that transaction has only single split of stock/mutual fund/bond. [amarok] [Bug 328359] Amarok crashes when using MusicBrains to update tags [@ MusicBrainzTagsItem::childCount]
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328359 --- Comment #69 from m_loui...@yahoo.com --- The crash is caused by this code around musicbrainz/MusicBrainzTagsModel.cpp:205: if( !index.isValid() || !parent( index ).isValid() ) [...] static_cast( index.internalPointer())->childCount() [...] ie the internal pointer of an invalid item is dereferenced. Checking that the pointer in not null before using it makes the crash go away: if( !index.isValid() || !parent( index ).isValid() ) { // Disable items with no children. MusicBrainzTagsItem *item = static_cast( index.internalPointer() ); if ( !item || item->childCount() == 0 ) return QAbstractItemModel::flags( index ) ^ Qt::ItemIsEnabled; } When the crash is gone, empty rows show up in the track list. The corresponding QModelIndex are invalid, and I think these are the ones created in MusicBrainzTagsModel::index when childItem is null. This should not happen, because in principle row < parentItem->childCount(), but sometimes it's not the case. I suspect the check for !parent.isValid() in MusicBrainzTagsModel::rowCount may be the root cause of everything, but I was unable to understand how to fix the problem. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

As I update the logs I select all of the text in a window ( A) then hit to delete the text. This takes many seconds to complete with the CPU pegged at 100%. This is plain text. The select all is fast but the delete operation is quite slow. Next I select all of the text in a konsole session with a large buffer which can contain upwards of 12000 lines of text from minicom then type to paste it into Kate. This takes several minutes to complete, again with the CPU pegged at 100%. I also see that Kate is using roughly 3.7GB of virtual memory (518K resident). [krita] [Bug 364887] [WACOM] Pressure Sensitivity Not Working (only for Krita)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364887 --- Comment #5 from -L0Lock- --- I tried to reset the wacom settings : ineffective. However, I maybe found a way around the problem. Kind of. Instead of "extending" my desktop to my tablet, i clone it from my main screen. It brings the pressure back, but the cursor position is completelly screwed in the canvas (not in the UI of Krita). If i just move my stylus from left to right, the cursor follows well on the UI, but while on the canvas it will accelerate, decelerate, block on the right side and finally hover the right side of the UI when i reach it with my stylus... And it's not a good solution either, working on the same screen isn't handy for me. Plus i'm left handed, so i usually rotate the tablet to be able to use the buttons and because my cable is on the left side anyway. But with the cloned screen, i'm forced to use my tablet in a right handed configuration. Still better than nothing untill someone found the final solution. I have the feeling that I'll be hard to read, I'm still not comfortable with english. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 377859] High CPU usage while idle.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377859 --- Comment #2 from skoupad-bugzi...@yahoo.com --- Additional info: As I suspected, the problem is most likely related to pulseaudio. Searching for a solution I stumbled across some bug reports on various distros that suggested to try inserting the following line to /etc/pulse/default.pa : load-module module-udev-detect tsched = 0 This indeed fixed the problem. But it messes up gnome sound so I can't use this solution. To my understanding the issue has to do with some problems in the alsa drivers and pulseaudio scheduler. Debian 8 uses an old version of pulseaudio and Debian 9 is just around the corner. Maybe the bug is fixed in the newer versions of pulseaudio. [juk] [Bug 378325] New: FLAC aren’t being added to playlist (and can’t be played)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378325 Bug ID: 378325 Summary: FLAC aren’t being added to playlist (and can’t be played) Product: juk Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: whee...@kde.org Reporter: k...@huftis.org CC: mp...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- I have set Juk to scan a bunch of folders at startup. All the music files are automatically added to the collection playlist *except* any FLAC files (*.flac). No FLAC files (I have several thousands) are added. Dragging and dropping FLAC files doesn’t work either, i.e. no files are added when I drop a .flac file to a playlist. Other formats, such as Opus, Ogg and MP3, work fine. The FLAC files seem to be valid, and the metadata can be ready by Taglib (tested using ‘tagreader’) and the files played using GStreamer (tested using ‘gst-play-1.0’). I observe this bug in Juk version 3.14 (version 3.11 is the latest version listed in Bugzilla, so I had to select ‘unspecified’ for the ‘Version’ field). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[valgrind] [Bug 374963] increase valgrind's load address to prevent mmap failure
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374963 roland_wi...@web.de changed: What|Removed |Added Attachment #103372|0 |1 is obsolete|| --- Comment #1 from roland_wi...@web.de --- Created attachment 104834 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=104834&action=edit Patch to increase tool load addresses via configure option I've had some time to clean up the patch and work around the __gnu_cxx::__freeres problem. The patch introduces a new configure flag, --enable-high-load, that increases the base address and switches the memory model to large when compiling the tools, but not the preloaded so's (this gets rid of the freeres problem). Through a few additional tweaks, the load address can now be set to much higher values. It is currently set to 1TiB, which should be enough for virtually any executable linked with the default base address. Apart from the modifications to configure.ac and Makefile.all.am, the patch changes some assembly instructions so they work when the symbols inserted by the linker have values not representable as signed 32bit ints. Also, the eh_frame descriptors in coregrind/m_trampoline.S have changed from an absolute to a PC-relative addressing scheme. The diff is against Valgrind 3.12.0. Is it recent enough? I'm using the patch. All patches at https://github.com/luizluca/source/tree/cc/valgrind-svn/package/devel/valgrind/patches are applied before compiling. [plasmashell] [Bug 378321] New: device notifier not mounting device: problem with polkit
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=378321 Bug ID: 378321 Summary: device notifier not mounting device: problem with polkit Product: plasmashell Version: 5.9.4 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Device Notifier Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: olivier.carton@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 When a plug USB key, the devices notifier pops up. If I click to "Open in file manager", the device is not mounted and Dolphin is not launched. If I click on the small button of the right, the device is then mounted. I I think that the problem is more or less related to the interaction with polkit. I have traced the ruled fired by polkit (see below). The main difference is that in the former case local=false active=false while in the latter case local=true active=true There is also another problem but I do not know whether it is related or not.
