Pin a couple of applications to the taskbar (at least two) 2. Open the first application by clicking on the icon or pressing Super + 1 Expected behavior: Application should open and the icon for that application should remain in the same place. Actual behavior: The icon for the application moves to the bottom of the list. This breaks the workflow for people like me who like to keep some applications between the taskbar and switch between them using Super + shortcut. I can imagine that this will also be pretty annoying for people using the mouse since you can no longer rely on your muscle memory to take you to the expected position of your application in the taskbar, and you have to consciously search for its position every time. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdevelop] [Bug 385556] documentation viewer window undocks and redocks seemingly at random across session restarts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385556 --- Comment #2 from RJVB --- Sadly I have no idea how to reproduce the issue. What I think happens is this: - I undocked the documentation window in one of my sessions sometime in the past and there are two related issues: 1 The documentation window will open when it shouldn't when I open a session that was closed with the documentation window hidden (closed) 2 The documentation window will open in floating or in docked mode (either when it auto-opens or when I open it myself) in a session in which I only used docked mode. To me this reeks of cross-talk between session settings for the documentation toolview, probably combined with an influence of the order in which something is being loaded or restored. I haven't been able to figure out where the two state settings are stored so cannot verify if removing all those settings makes the issue go away. I ran into this issue when restarting a test session repeatedly after rebuilding the documentation library. I kept the session open that has the KDevelop project, and didn't launch any other sessions. Sometimes I'd see the floating documentation window pop up and then disappear again, supporting the idea this has to do with restoring (the wrong) state. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Sadly, not all issues with the toolview's behaviour have been resolved, at least not on Mac: - sessions where the documentation button is left on a toolbar will reopen with the documentation toolview in docked mode or in detached mode, seemingly at random; the toolview will sometimes also open without asking. - moving the floating window to dock it tends to provoke a crash in the cocoa QPA (but not when I use the X11/XCB QPA). I've only seen this on Mac, but given how I cannot seem to figure out how to prevent the toolview from using an unwanted floating window mode I'm not very keen on causing the same problem on my Linux system. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 385463] favourite system actions are no longer removable via right click menu - breaks/prevents sidebar hiding
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385463 Fabian Vogt changed: What|Removed |Added Status|CONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution|--- |FIXED Latest Commit||https://commits.kde.org/pla ||sma-desktop/06f01ed291ca210 ||57497fd0ceaa69f6e4d324bc3 --- Comment #3 from Fabian Vogt --- Git commit 06f01ed291ca21057497fd0ceaa69f6e4d324bc3 by Fabian Vogt. Committed on 10/10/2017 at 16:53. Pushed by fvogt into branch 'Plasma/5.11'. Fix editing items in SimpleFavoritesModel Summary: tools.js is supposed to support both KaStatsFavoritesModel (used for favorite applications) and SimpleFavoritesModel (used for system actions, like poweroff/reboot/logout). The latter did not work though, as tools.js unconditionally calls methods only present in KaStatsFavoritesModel. This commit makes KaStatsFavoritesModel API compatible to SimpleFavoritesModel and changes the relevant code in tools.js to support both. Additionally, this syncs applets/kickoff/package/contents/code/tools.js again. Test Plan: Before this patch it wasn't possible to remove system actions from the favorites bar.
