What I said, "While you're on the page", I mean the page in System Settings
itself! I should have been more clear.

When I'm at
https://invent.kde.org/plasma/sddm-kcm/-/blob/master/kcm_sddm.actions
on the left end of the menubar I see a button with three horizontal lines
https://invent.kde.org/plasma/sddm-kcm/-/blob/master/kcm_sddm.actions#
but when I select that, I only get "Switch To" choices (Projects/Groups/Your
Work/Explore).
Farther at the right, there is a "+" dropdown button "Create new..." with a
choice "In this project" -> "New issue",
https://invent.kde.org/plasma/sddm-kcm/-/issues/new
but that contains a red warning text starting
"Please note that all bug reports and feature requests should be filed on
bugs.kde.org and should never be raised here."
Is that the one I should use?

Thanks. That last step was blindness on my part.
>From a translator perspective, I still don't find it straight forward how to
get from
https://websvn.kde.org/trunk/l10n-kf6/eo/messages/sddm-kcm/kcm_sddm.po
to "systemsettings" in bugs.kde.org (?)

Good catch, will fix.

While you're on the page, if you click on the Hamburger menu in the top of the
window, there's a "Report bug in the current page..." menu item that will take
you directly to the place you need to do.

It is; just look in the "Applications" section, because System Settings is an
application. The description for that section mentione System Settings by name,
too.
