No, at least not without extending the Javascript code. Re: IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate Edition for LanguageTool developers
Hi all, Those of you using IntelliJ IDEA http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/ Ultimate Edition http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/features/ will have noticed that our license expired. Renewing it took a little longer than I expected. Sorry for that. JetBrains have changed their FOSS licensing policy but unfortunately it is not reflected in their web site and you'll have to take my word on that by now until they hopefully update their web site. Now, instead of issuing a single key for each project, they issue one key per developer based on a JetBrains account. All of you who contacted for renewal will get the invitation soon. They also kindly ask us mentioning their support: If you feel that IntelliJ IDEA has helped you a great deal, we'd be grateful if you could mention JetBrains' support for your project by placing an IntelliJ IDEA logo at the project's website. Please, follow the link if you wish to see the logo: http://www.jetbrains.com/company/press/materials.html I leave this decision to the core developers. If you are a regular contributor to LanguageTool then you are eligible to use the license. More details on the LanguageTool wiki http://wiki.languagetool.org/intellij-idea-ultimate-languagetool-license . The Ultimate Edition improves significantly Web development, as well as Java architecture support. You can compare editions http://www.jetbrains.com/idea/features/editions_comparison_matrix.html and check whether your contribution to LanguageTool would improve with the Ultimate Edition. To apply for a license code, please contact me at juan.martorell (å) languagetool.org. I hope this is a step forward to further and better contributions and improves our already high level of quality in our products. Re: web spell checking
I can play around with it once I implement the solution. After some tests I can figure out whether live spell/grammar check is possible for our work load and if not we can always add a spell check button that the user can select as well when they save their documents. Thank you for your help. I am glad I found a good open source spell/grammar checker. Andrew -- Jesus is my Lord and Savior. One check per 30 seconds probably won't feel very interactive to the user... Checking could depend on whether text was actually changed. However, for texts that aren't small one should not send the whole text to the API every 1-2 seconds. In other words: it's not easy to get right and that's the reason we don't do it on languagetool.org.
