I´m using the Lazarus version 1.0.4 and I have completed an application using units from prior applications inclusive some of then from Delphi5- I have found that some label.caption are written correctly in spanish, but other don´t admit the accents as for example in the word Terminó. i will appreciate any help thanks in advance, yours truly, Ing. Dear collegues: for a long time i have used de version 0.9.27 and now I have downloaded the version 1.0 and installed in my PC, but I have maintened the 0.9.27, changing the folder name. I have installed the new one in a folder called c:\lazarus_1.0 when I try to open it for the first time, appears a message asking me for upgrade the configuration, but I want to use two versions and it have this alternative: but I don't know how to include the command line parameter and what to modify. dear colleagues: i have found how to fix the name of columns with the field´s name, and i have found how to fix the width of each colum. It works in a pretty way. as i have 20 fields with data about "projects", the last ones scroll the screen to the right and the PC´operator lost the project´s name and i am thinking to put and edit box in the upper place of the DBGrid to show the project´s name (one of the firsts fields of the record) for the active row. If i used a simple edit box, it can be programmed in the OnKeyPress Event, but I don´t know how to do it in the case of a dbGrid. [Lazarus] problem with a dbf file
Dear Mr. Richard: no, i dont said it. first, i have tried to execute de application. The application work, but not read the .dbf file with some data. It work like the first time, without history, as empty table. Then, I have closed the application, and open the Windows explores, in the folder with the .dbf file. I have observed that it appears, exists, with some kb, not empty. The icom that appears looks to be an Excel file icom. this PC is not my PC and I dont have permission to go too far. i have finished an application that use the TDbf and, as expected, generates .dbf files. I have tried the application in other PC, and dont read the .dbf file. I have observed that in this PC, the .dbf is shown as an Excel file, maybe due to the Panel Control Options (I dont want to "investigate" too much). [Lazarus] upx dont work
Dear colleagues: i have used por many years the upx for compact the executable files. Really, it have worked pretty well. today, i have tried to compact an executable but i have obtained a nom good result. previously i have used the strip to reduce the "weight" from more or less 30 Mb to 3 Mb. After that, the executable still works well. them i have applied the upx, it look to work well, the weight is reduced to 1 Mb, but when i tried to execute, a message appears telling "the configuration is not good and maybe reinstalling the application can work". Dear friends: i have an unusual problem: i have prepared a simple application to edit a TDbf table. now i have two forms only and when i execute the exe file the first works well, but when i try to continue, then the second one appear and the application terminate in miliseconds. really, it is the first time i have this anormal behavior. [Lazarus] help to obtain the FPC 2.4.4
Dear colleagues: i have downloaded from http://www.freepascal.org/download.var the file fpc-2.4.4.i386-win32.exe and the file fpc-2.4.4.i386-win64.exe and when installed the win32 version, i obtained an icon in the desktop and a folder in C:\FPC\2.4.4 but when i execute, i dont obtain the interface of Lazarus, i obtain the Compiler interface. i will appreciate very much if somebody can furnish me the url to obtain the correct version.
