Another blow up from the politically correctness police. RTFM has been around since the punched card days... and it meant back then, and is still taught in university classes to mean Read the FRIENDLY Manual. It wasn't until the late 80's that that the truly Famous Four letter Word came into play. Back in the old days when we actually had to write manuals that came with the software we were driven to make them friendly... hence the term user friendly. The term Friendly Manual has been an industry term for as long as I can remember. Using your logic one can offended by your e-mail address... after all it starts with MF which can be interpreted in many fantastic ways. Stay off of the Diabetic groups... every other message discusses BS. In fact you'll probably see more BS there than anywhere else on earth. Of course the diabetic lists obsess over improving their Blood Sugar. Bottom line... not everything is as it seems... and if you get bent out of shape over someone typing RTFM then you need to really look into why your mind is gutter wandering in the first place. Sometimes it's a matter of attitude. Attitudes in general today are so rude that one assumes the worst. Sherry's attempt to explain the acronym included a word which, while not vulgar per se, struck some of us as out of character and therefore somewhat shocking. Personally, I find that Microsoft has trained me not to look at help or manuals for answers because: 1) responses are irrelevant, 2) I can't tell if they are relevant because the answers are in computer instead of English, 3) it provides 320 options to reveiw for a possible answer, et cetera. However, I find Legacy's various helps (help, manual, hovering, reading the screen, DVDs, and this list) to be very useful 99% of the time.
