[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 36427] A MS XML 2003 file cannot be saved in Calc
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=36427 --- Comment #15 from Owen Genat owen.ge...@gmail.com --- (In reply to comment #14) I try to summarize, seems that 2 issues here: 1. attachment 45913 [details] from soshial - XML file can't be changed saved 2. attachment 53371 [details] from Scott - XLS file can't be saved to Excel 2003 XML Don't know should it be splitted to 2 bugs? To be honest this bug appears to have become a mess. If LO is started from the terminal the messages output there give a clearer indication of which attachment exhibits which problem. The first attachment does not appear to exhibit a problem under Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 running: - v3.3.0.4 OOO330m19 Build: 6 - v3.4.6.2 OOO340m1 Build: 602 - v3.5.7.2 Build ID: 3215f89-f603614-ab984f2-7348103-1225a5b - v3.6.7.2 Build ID: e183d5b - v4.0.6.2 Build ID: 2e2573268451a50806fcd60ae2d9fe01dd0ce24 - v4.1.3.2 Build ID: 70feb7d99726f064edab4605a8ab840c50ec57a ... at least in terms of opening, modifying the contents (e.g., typing a into A1), and re-saving to the Excel 2003 XML format. v4.0.6.2 does take a long time to re-load the saved document. v4.1.3.2 throws a General input/output error on re-load after save. This is likely a separate issue. Unfortunately though this problem of not saving changes was initially reported against v3.3.0 release and gradually increased over time by several people (possibly for several different issues), so if this attachment does have a problem it may be Windows-specific and relate to a quite early version. I would set the Platform back to Windows and Version back to 3.3.0 accordingly. The remarks in comment #11 and comment #13 need to clearly indicate which attachment is being used. The second attachment exhibits the problem described in bug 52035 i.e., infinite template recursion. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list Libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
[Libreoffice-bugs] [Bug 68566] EDITING: Cross references between tables / cell data broken
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68566 --- Comment #3 from MICKRU i...@michael-krueger.org --- Hi, thanks for having a look at my issue. I appreciate this very much. I just downloaded LibreOffice 4.1.3.2 and can confirm that the T(..) function now seems to work, because the mailto: URIs on the master sheet will produce the email address as text on the sheet called AdressListe. So one issue is remaining. The sheet is used for our voluntary fire-fighter department. For this we hand out the telephone/address list to all members of the fire-fighters. The sheet called TelefonListe should be sorted using the column Fkt-Sort. The goal is to have all people that have a specific role in the fire department at the top of the TelefonListe sheet so that their phone numbers are listed first. The lastname column on the master sheet is used to sort the sheet AddressList in alphabetical order based on the peoples last name. I can confirm that the sorting bug remains in the 4.1.3.2 version while in 4.0.4 it is working well. This is what you need to do: 1) Go on the master sheet and sort by lastname. 2) Verify that the members are sorted on the TelefonListe and AdressListe sheets in alphabetical order. Especially in the TelefonListe the functional role of the people should be the same on the master and on the TelefonListe. 3) I now print the AdressListe sheet to have that sheet in alphabetical order. 4) Next I use the Fkt-Sort column on the master sheet to sort the list based on the functional role of the fire-fighters. 5) Now you go on the TelefonListe sheet to see if the list has been sorted. With 4.1.3.2 the names are sorted correctly, but the column with the functional roles is not. When I use the release 4.0.4 the functional roles are sorted correct and reflect the order on master sheet. Hope this helps you to figure out whats going wrong here. This |paragraph, when the style |messes up any style |there does have Bold or |afterwards that has |Italic |bold/italic in it (until ||Clear Direct Formatting is ||used). --- Comment #3 from hollan...@gmail.com --- I'm having this problem with italics. The problem seems to be that toggling italics off (or bold, or underline) with the toolbar button or Ctrl+I (or B, or U) does not turn off italics direct formatting but rather *applies* no italics direct formatting for new text typed from that point forwards (existing text is not affected). Ever afterwards when typing new text this no-italics direct formatting layers on top of styles until Clear Direct Formatting is used. So if at any point after toggling italics off a style with italics built in is used, the italics in the style won't appear because no-italics direct formatting is layered over top. This is definitely not the correct behaviour, and not the way any other word processor does it.
