Hello, Chris, Weird. I have Gmail working with Imap settings as well. If you do not want the same emails downloading to your phone and Mac, you'll need to log into gmailCom via the web interface. When you log in, clcck on "settings" then "forwarding And Pop". Scroll down to the POP and Imap settings and select "only download email that arrives from now on" on the combo box.
