[melbourne-pug] September meeting: does anyone have a talk?
Hi everyone, Two weeks to the next MPUG meeting, and we're one talk short. Anyone up for speaking? Particularly anyone who had a Pycon talk that they haven't already presented as a rehearsal? Hi all, Thanks for doing this roundup, Javier! I'd like to volunteer to give this talk: - Towards solving the Python 2/3 split with the `past` package I'll explain how I've discovered that backwards compatibility is more important than forwards compatibility and show you how it's possible to run Python 2.x code under Python 3.x with the help of a custom codec. Hi everyone, I've got a short talk 5-10 minute talk coming out of my frustrations putting slides together for pycon on producing better slides from ipython notebooks. Aiming to touch on nbconvert, jinja2, reveal.js and mistune. We all know how to stop getting Ed talking about 2to3 stuff. We all need to move to 3. ^_^ On 24 August 2015 at 13:53, jav...@candeira.com wrote: On 2015-08-24 13:45, Ed Schofield wrote: Hi all, Thanks for doing this roundup, Javier! Sure, November? Anything wrong with October? Either way, yes, if it's a full length talk, better to start filling in the pipeline. Thanks a lot! I have some interesting content (two book reviews), but that can wait until October. I'll write you up as the first short talk.
