Don, Even without Raindogs, you can hit speeds above 65 with ease
blasting past the big green T all the way to Southcenter. No way to
get above 45 from there to Oly

60 MPH on I5, and you lived to tell about it?! normal flow of traffic
out there is closer to 85-90 MPH, considering the speed limit is 70
MPH

much of the way,...!

I can milk 30 MPG from my '92 300SD (S350) if I keep the junk out of
the trunk, just me in the car and keeping it at about 60 MPH. Have
done

it several times on I-5 to and from Seattle and LAX.
FYI my W140 weighs (with me and a full tank of fuel, 5000 lbs.
2500 on the front axel and 2500 on the back axel)
A normal mix around town and freeway I get about 25-27 MPG.

hi Don!

not sure where you're talking about,...
that the minority of the miles of I-5 that travel through some of the
metro areas can be miserable, but there are hundreds of miles of I-5
between Seattle and LAX that are completely unclogged. if you're only
going 75 MPH, you better stay to the right, and you're still going to
be holding up traffic.

cheers!
