There are more options than just those. macppc and sparc64 are amongst the faster arch's too isnt the mac going the way of Intel now? all of their newer boxes seem to be Intel now (correct me if i'm wrong), in which case... u shouldnt get a mac, i mean, an Intel. -jf

That's probably where the audio comes from. -jf

you could try horde - it's pretty full-featured. Mta, i would recommend qmail, but YMMV... The setup will be pretty tedious if u go this way, but once setup, everything will run very nicely. -jf
Re: want to get a zaurus - anybody in japan willing to help?
just to say thanks, guys, for all the replies, but as a note, I stay in Singapore, not in Europe, so Wim's kinda out-of-the-way (i'm not in Europe). Appreciate ur help though!! Short of me going down to japan personally to buy the thing (and then ship myself back), is there any other (affordable and) better way of getting the thing? many thanks, -jf
Re: want to get a zaurus - anybody in japan willing to help?
sorry, folks!! was too quick on the typing, apparently. I meant to save that as a draft, before typing out the actual email. I have been struggling over this decision (it is somewhat costly) for a while now, but in the end, I still (a) want something that's good, and (b) want something that i can install OpenBSD on (i dont care for a linux pda at this point in time). So if anybody would be so kind as to help me out, pls contact me off-list. thanks, and sorry for the previous email, -jf On 9/14/05, Jeffrey Lim <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > SL-C3100

Re: Honesty needed...
how about the mail store then? I suppose there'll have to be some coordinated (and "thread-friendly") back-end mail store in place for these front-end mail servers (*i'm assuming simplistic load-balancing here - at the tcp level, rather than at the application level, or splitting via userid, so that the different userids are actually assigned to different mailstores). -jf On 7/2/05, Bob Beck <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > I concur. mail load is ideally suited for dividing up > amongst multiple machines (with then multiple i/o busses, etc. etc.). > > I far prefer this method to the one big machine method. > > -Bob
