Well, I don't get it under 7, so it must be a total recorder problem, not a Microsoft problem. At least, let support assess that, so send them your debug file. Re: Question and a problem with Total Recorder
The inability to close total recorder is a uia bug which effects both Window-eyes and nvda. Nothing can be done unless Microsoft fixes that bug, or someone finds a clever way around it. You move forward by pressing control plus t, and backwoards with control plus L. If you find you cannot make fine enough ajustments, try adjusting the amount of movement with the control comma and control period keys. So press either of those once and try move back and forth again and ajust as needed. If you keep having problems to close it. Try running as administrator or reinstall the program. Also, if that don't work pleas take note. Open the program again, and try to close it, then as soon as you get the problem again, then go to settings, and then at the bottom you will find debug. Then tab there til you get "save to file" and press on that, and save it to a location where you can find it easily. Then send that as an attachment to support. And any arrir message you get, press on the copy button before you dismiss the dialog with the ok button, so you can paste that in the email. Re: problem with total recorder
Hi, you must try the following. Fix your sound skeeme, then open total recorder and don't close it strate away. Let it allow to change the sound skeem. Then, go to settings, and go to the bug report section, choose "save to file" and send the file to the support team. Maybe they can trase it. Only after the file is saved, you can close total recorder and fix the sound skeem again. On 23/07/2013, Dave Scrimenti wrote: > I've never had that happen. I've never had that happen. Total Recorder does by default turn off system sounds so they won't get in the recording, but I've never had it change the sound scheme. - Original Message - From: "john riehl" To: "'PC Audio Discussion List'" Sent: Monday, July 22, 2013 7:30 PM Subject: problem with total recorder I'm having a problem with total recorder 8.3 professional. Every time I use it it changes the sound scheme on my PC; I have to go in and re-set the sounds in my default sound scheme. Is anyone else having this problem and, if so, how do I fix it? Re: problem with total recorder
Its trying to help by silencing the system sounds so they won't be recorded -- I think there is an option in recording source and parameters to turn them on. john riehl wrote: > I'm having a problem with total recorder 8.3 professional. problem with Total Recorder 7 and sound card
I downloaded the trial of Total Recorder 7 professional, which worked fine on my system. I had a license from a very old version of total recorder standard, so I contacted High Criteria for a new serial to register the version 7 standard. I installed it, and used the settings that I had used for the trial of 7 pro. When I rebooted I had my sound card volume turned down to 0 and Total Recorder had changed my sound settings to go through total recorder instead of my sound card. I went in to settings and changed it back to my sound card, but every time I rebooted my machine the same thing would happen. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why it would be doing this? http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=3 email and MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
problem with total recorder
Hi all, these two things may or may not be related, in that, I bought a sony cd burner, and you're asking, what does a sony cd burner have to do with total recorder, and I'll get to that. When the installer was installing the cd burner, he said that it was boarder line, in terms of my system requirements, and I wonder if this might be effecting total recorder, because, I upgraded to total recorder 5.0, and tried to record a stream, and I couldn't hear it, and when I record a stream, I don't want any of my sounds from windows in mixed with the stream, so I have the turn off system events assigned to sounds check box checked in the system tab of total recorder, but when I found that I couldn't get any sound, and I knew I could record with total recorder 4.5, I downgraded, and tried recording again, and still, no sounds. It must think that the stream is a system event, and I don't know how to get around this. Now, when the installer said my system requirements were boarder line for this sony cd burner, could those boarder line requirements cause total recorder not to work? I've always had good luck with total recorder, but even an audio stream would be separate from the system sounds, and now, it records the stream, I just can't hear it, until I play it back. so, how do I correct this, with window-eyes 4.5 sp4, 192 megs of ram, and a 400 megs processor? I thought that the boarder line requirements would only come into play with the cd burner, but I would have everything shut down when burning, except for window-eyes, and oh yes, I have windows 98 se, if that also helps. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Problem With Total Recorder
Hello List: I am new to this list..and have a problem with a program called "Total Recorder." It seems as I cannot get the program to record what I want it to record..which is basically things from the internet..or other things like MP3s..andsoforth. I use a screenreader called "Jaws" The version I'm using is an older version, 3.7u, to be exact..and am running Windows ME. As far as I can tell, I have everything checked as it should be. A friend of mine and I have been working on this problem for a few weeks now; when I first installed the program, it worked good..as long as I recorded manually. But if I tried to record something, using the "scheduler", that's where I began experiencing problems; I would get a "blank" file..even though..according to what I saw on the screen, it looked as though it had a signal. Since then, I (along with a friend of mine) have tried everything under the sun to get it working..to no avail..if anything, it only has made things worse! Since I still think of myself as somewhat of a noves to the computer, when replying to this post, I would apprecaite it if you could give your answers in simple terms. I apologize for this post..being a bit long. Look forward to your responses..and thanks for any help or info you can provide me ahead of time.
