Ken, does it mean that you actually *preferred* FA 50/1.4 to 43 Lim? I
am curious.

Thanks.

Hello Bob,

Thank you for pointing this out, along by others.
I think you can see them now. "Quick & dirty" job always ends up like this
:-). Now I checked on my computer and things look OK. If you still cannot
see them, I am going to take a nap first and go about it again :-).

No, I'm not jumping the ship :-). I still have PZ-1p, 77MM Ltd Black and
recently secured an FA50/1.4 and an FA35/2.0. I have several Canon lenses
and a 35mm film body (and an APS too :-). These and a 645N kit will take
care of my film needs, although PZ-1p seems like being orphaned. It is a
big camera but I like it so much. But is not a digital after all, and time
to say good bye to it. Sad.

I am partial to a very portable, compact and light cameras (and lenses), and
actually MZ3 was ideal for my film need but thought I would sell it while it
would fetch some value. I do not know if I am doing anything rational here,
though :-).

Canon G3 has been satisfying most of my digital snap shooting need till now
but it of course has limitations.

What I want to do is to start the DSLR package with Pentax (of course) as I
like their body (better view finder, compact size and AA batteries etc etc).
I looked at 20D and RebelXT just because I have Canon lenses, but their
lenses are generally too big, and *ist Ds more than satisfy my present needs
(felt RebelXT was too small. Strange).
So, I wish to start a new lens line up, a more compact kit. My next
purchase would be a DA100mm Macro. 77mm would be a nice portrait lens. I
have also to get a wide angle zoom DA 16mm〜45mmF4. I really do not mind an
APS sized chip and actually wish them stay for a long while. FF size CCD
would be nice but if it comes with the penalty of size/weight of body/lens,
I am not interested in.

On a flash front, I am going to buy an AF360FGZ. AF500FTZ is an excellent
flash but is too big for me. I still even treasure an ancient AF16 manual
flash for the indoor people shooting :-). It is so tiny and does not get in
my way. It fits in my pocket easily. Most of the time when I need a flash,
I do not need max power like 500FTZ (but I might buy a 500FGZ if it comes
out compact).

Every once in a while, I get an urge to start fresh.

And PDML is another reason for staying with Pentax :-).

Cheers,

Ken

Ken,

Same here in the USA. Thumbnails page opens fine, but none of the
detailed pictures behind them.

So are you keeping any Pentax equipment or switching format or...?

Hi!

Sorry guys, links may not have worked.
Now I uploaded a quick and dirty thumb nail pages so that you can see
enlarged photos by clicking each thumb nail. Skipped legends as PDMLers can
tell which one is which so easily :-).

See;

http://ca.geocities.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/pentaxgear.html

Hope this link works (wanted to make each page open separately but I got to
go now :-(.

As I said, unlike most PDMlers, eBay was not my source of equip (should have
been though), hence no PayPal etc but I am now trying to see if I could
quickly make use of it.

Ken, this very page opens. But non of sub-links work for me at least...
They just produce an empty page...
