I've noticed the same kind of light when pulling the tape off the end of 120 film, it hasn't fogged the film though. I suspect that this is the same sort of green light one sees when pulling the tape that holds 120 film to the roll off. For some reason, it never seems to affect the film. There's a technical name for it, but I don't know it. I had the same experience quite a few times when tearing off 120 film from the paper before developing.
